really cool, great job on the camera / TV shenanigans :D

I only have one suggestion for you: include a web build next time! you will have so much more reach with it :)

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Believe, I really wanted to build it to web, but we used the Unreal Engine to make it, and it doesn't have a native browser build. But we'll try to arrange something to play in the browser next time. Certainlly it would increase the reach.

Looks really good!

I really like a size of the build and  your work with cameras. Great entry.

cool game and the static effect was very nice, did you make that yourself or was it an asset? have you considered building this for webgl? :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

The static effect is a procedural material, what made this intensity and scale configurable. We used the Unreal Engine to develop the game, which, unfortunately, didn't provide a webGl build. Otherwise, for sure this would be our first build choice :D

Awesome!okay that's understandable! I thought it remembered it wws possible to do a web build in unreal as well. Great work regardless

Really enjoyed how you leaned into the Halloween jam spirit — the vibe and pacing kept me engaged from start to finish. The visuals and concept feel polished for a jam build; if you had a little more audio variety or a few extra mechanics to deepen interaction it would elevate it even more. Congrats on a solid entry!

If you’ve got a moment, I’d love for you to try my jam game too:

Thank you for playing!

We wanted to add some another mechanics, but we lacked a little more time to do it. Maybe we can do some improvements and publish it out of the jam.  ;)

Thanks for the feedback!

Love the death cutscene.  Fun little game. At first I thought the zoomed in camera when sprinting was super annoying, but on second thoughts I appreciate that it adds a lot more tension, panic and bit of that old Blair Witch Project, filmed on a handheld device, with close up shots vibe. So good design choice!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Wow, the death sequence is so cool

Developer

Hahaha, thanks!

After playing it twice, I still don't know how to beat it (I got a key, but I couldn't find a place to use it). However, I had fun—great little game.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'll give you a hint: look for the cemetery. ;)

Had fun with this, fun spooky chase chase and with the theme I like how the camera FOV zooms in which during a chase does a great job in adding to the disorientation (as mentioned here in the comments). Awesome job!

Really good entry. Loved the atmosphere and the aesthetics of playing on the TV. The death animation was so cool! How did you create that fracturing effect? The death scene was a real surprise. Very creepy and the zoom in on the running really made you feel like you were running in fear.

After dying twice in the cemetery I gave up. Never made it to the house. I found the reaper ghost easy to escape sometimes and hard others.

Overall really good entry. Well done!

I'm really interested in that fracture effect. Is it a shader?

Developer(+1)

It's an Unreal Engine feature that enables fracturing meshes and simulating physics. Here's a link: https://dev.epicgames.com/documentation/en-us/unreal-engine/fracturing-geometry-...

Submitted(+1)

Thanks! I'm gonna see if I can recreate it in Godot.

Developer(+1)

If you do, make a tutorial and share. I would love to see that too!

Submitted(+2)

Fantastic game! Loved how the camera zoomed in when running and it made it that more frantic.
It did cause me to not see some of the geometry though and I died a few times by getting trapped on edged. Quick redo though, but could also be fixed with more fences since some of the gaps weren't clear with the trees in if you could step through them.
Loved how you walked in front of the tv too. Made me laugh. lol

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!

Maybe we can put some trees more closer to make the barrier more clear. Or, as you said, put some fences between then,

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Be sure to click a target in the Edit Page. (The little Windows, Mac, Linux, Android icons)
It lets me download the game with the app.

Developer(+1)

Ooops! Sorry!! Fixed!
