Impressive for the time restriction, also very aesthetically pleasing!
Genuinely impressive work for such a short time period. Nice work with the procedural generation, and I like the very clean aesthetic as well. I’m amazed at how you managed to get it all implemented within only 4 and a half hours. Bravo!
Solid submission. I really enjoyed the sound effects.
Glad you enjoyed them. My 3 hour build was lacking them and it just felt too bland without them. Had to go over to get those in there.
What a cool game! Making a procedural dungeon in such a short timeframe is impressive, and even if the dungeon size (and potential max score) can vary greatly, it's really fun to play. Great job!
The idea for expanding it and making it so you can buy stuff between runs was a pain to keep out, but I knew I had to limit my scope.
Pretty fun! Got 3482 gold in 17 minutes. I wonder if a minimap could help, since I kept thinking I was done exploring areas but then I'd stumble upon more and more. The green and blue guys are a bit annoying at times when I don't have any clear alternative path to explore nearby
Yeah, after it's judged, I want to go back and reduce those timers and do other balance tweaks. I did want to add a mini map, but the time crunch didn't allow me to even think about attempting it. I'm still learning how to do those properly in Godot. :-)
Yeah I definitely don't think adding something like the minimap or tuning things is really applicable to the 3 hour time limit, just some ideas if you were to take it further
Art design was really charming, the cover art is really cool too. Good job (:
Yeah the cover art was done by another dev, Rudepaul. They saw my AI generated title screen on my YouTube stream and made a real one for me instead. I'm ever so grateful, as they were able to take the idea I wanted and produce some wonderful work to replace it with REAL artwork!
I couldn’t decide which was weirder: the smelly slime creature or the freezing… thing. Hopefully, you didn’t have to do all the sounds yourself.
I collected more money than my yearly income and felt moderately heroic. The gameplay flowed smoothly, and there was just enough room to get lost without panicking. Great!
Thanks. I have a large collection of sounds and while trying to find a gas spore type sound, I came across the fart sound and it just made me laugh too much to not use it.
I wasn't sure procedural dungeon generation would be possible in the time allowed and even though you went over, it wasn't by that much. Very well done.
What's nice about this, it's not really that procedural but more akin to a shuffled deck of cards. Each tile is drawn and added one at a time. Took the mechanic from the D&D Board games. :-)
