Thanks!

As someone else mentioned, after I got all the flags, nothing more appeared to spawn? So I was just moving around waiting for the timer to run out. Other than that, I think the idea was good.

Nice game! I liked the alternating directions with each level.

(1 edit)

Yeah, I spent some time tweaking the difficulty as my original build felt a bit too easy. I was trying my best to keep it under 3 hours as is so didn't want to take much more time on the difficulty. There should be sound effects though whenever you successfully pass a flag or run into a flag.

I actually never made it that high when play testing. Think the highest I got was 120-130ish so very possible the spawning wasn't able to keep up with the speed.

Yeah completely understandable. We all need to make compromises for these things. Sounds like you have the right idea.

All good. It's part of the learning process :). If you do make an update, I'd be glad to replay for feedback.

This is a great puzzle idea for the theme. Very enjoyable.

As another mentioned, not exactly sure what to do. I think there is a good idea here, just maybe need to tweak some of the wall placements as I couldn't get very far once one of the red flags showed up.

Cool idea. My only minor suggestion would be to ramp up the difficulty a little quicker, at least for the first phase. Overall nice game though! I really enjoyed it.

Nice submission!

Nice idea. One suggestion would be let the little speech bubbles follow the dino's when you drag them. After I dragged a couple, I forgot which dino's belonged to which speech bubbles. Good work for a first submission though!

As another poster mentioned, I liked the concept of the game. However, the threshold for restarting the drawing was pretty low and the pen moved pretty fast (for me at least). I think with just a little tweaking and some music/sound effects it could be really nice little game.

Nice game. The enemy death sound actually startled me on the first enemy I defeated lol.

I meant the little yellow squares that are moving around. Maybe I should have said monsters

Nice game. I liked the graphics. Only thing I noticed is sometimes clicking the ritual wouldn't register. I swear I was right on it. Other than that, great submission!

Interesting idea on the theme. I liked it. I'd suggest maybe adding some background music though.

Nice game!  Fits into the theme perfectly I'd say. Only minor critique would be to make navigating the rituals a little easier.  I spent some time flipping pages to find the right one and the timer was almost out by the time I found it. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

This game is great. I got Factorio vibes with upgrading (researching) stats for the workers and gathering resources. Excellent work.

Great game. I enjoyed the simplistic graphics. Each shape having its own enemy type was very intuitive. The only minor suggestion I'd make is improving the difficulty ramping. I did a few runs. It felt like a nice gradual increase but then at one point it just ramps up too much. Overall solid submission.

Thanks!

Very ambitious. The end result was worth it though. Nice job.

Fun little game. I enjoyed the aesthetic. As another post said, after killing an enemy, the explosion can linger and kill the player.  Other than that, I really enjoyed this one.

Solid submission.  I really enjoyed the sound effects.

As others have said, some instructions would have helped.  Once I realized I could right click, the game actually was quite enjoyable.

Very nice game!

This was a great game.  I made it to the end. You put a lot of cool ideas in there in just 3 hours. My only minor suggestion would be to add some music.

Interesting.  Thanks for the info. I haven't done too many 3D projects yet, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Thanks!  Yeah like I explained in the other comment below, I tried my best to improve the spike collisions. They still are very touchy as you said.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to explain in the game details section.  It was much worse when the player was full size, so making him smaller helped a bit. I know it still could be better though.

Thanks for the feedback.  Like I said in another response, my original intent was to increase the number of runes gradually with each success to break up the monotony, but just didn't have the time.  Interesting you were the second person to mention the correct rune lead to a game over.  I didn't have that happen during my development, so maybe there is a certain set of sequences that is erroring that I didn't get since it is randomized.

Thanks!

The spell mechanic is pretty cool. I would have maybe used different keys for the spell input though.  For me at least, it felt odd having to use the movement buttons for the spell.  Overall interesting idea!

Awesome game! Amazed you were able to fit that many unique effects in.  The only small critique I have is the character can run part way off screen, but that is pretty minor.  Overall great submission.

Great work on the assets and sprites on this one.  The style is very pleasant.

For getting into 3D, I'd say this was a success.  The camera does feel pretty sensitive when you move the mouse, but other than that I think this is a decent submission.  One thing I always like is having a little sound effect when a character collects an item or gets hit with something.  Just something to keep in mind for future games.  Nice overall.

This is an awesome idea.  I really liked it.  Just FYI though, the timer was cut-off of the screen a little (at least for me).  I could still make it out, but I only saw about half of the timer.  I know sometimes the camera for a build can be different than in the editor if it's not set-up properly, so just something to keep in mind for future games.
