I really enjoyed how you had to open and close each drawer manually on the dressers. It's adds a lot of tension to the encounter and made me feel more engaged in the scene! I did have some issues with getting stuck on furniture and other obstacles. I think you may just need to make your player collider smaller or rounded so you can move a bit easier. The post processing effect is also very cool and the distortion around the edges made the level look a lot larger than it really was. Nice work!

Not bad for a first game, well done :)

Maybe less lens effect next time! Keep on!

I really like the fisheye lens, never seen a game do that before

Very creepy game! Loved the ballooned(?) pixel art look. The other person popping out of no where did scare me at first since I missed the fact that you aren't alone!

I couldn't quite find the flashlight but I was able to finally find the key after a few runs!

I really really love the art style, this feels like a haunted pokemon rom hack. Good humor too. However, I noticed things that could be improved (I won't mention the typos cause those are honest mistakes):

  • Why is there crickets background audio when you are in the middle of a room inside the house?
  • The player's health is not communicated clearly. You don't have to add a health bar but at least put in some effects like blood particles or vignette.
  • I'd tune down the lens distortion post processing a bit

Otherwise, the fact that this was made in 3 days is impressive.

Interesting concept. Cool visuals. I found the key but not the flashlight. Got killed(?) by the enemy(?) every time. Please check out my jam game Reporter Rex: The Haunted Theatre

I like the aesthetic, i wish there was a little bit more to it, especially with the ghost; I had some trouble understanding how it works; but good game!

very cool! I love the aesthetic, its actually very refreshing to see 2D horror that is done well! Although I'm usually a sucker for pixel perfect games, the cool lighting and post processing made this very appealing

I liked the game! I got a bit confused with the controls at times but once I figured it out it was pretty fun. The first time I got attacked by the ghost I was pretty spooked not gonna lie.
