I really loved the mechanics and level design. Definitely one of my favorites from the jam! ^^
Wow, this was amazing! I absolutely love the visual art style as it’s beautiful and atmospheric. The character designs and little story moments were super charming too! The exploration felt great, and I’m impressed by how much variety there was in such a short jam, with even multiple endings?! That’s incredible.
Only small nitpicks: the UI text looked a bit crunchy on my end, and the running/dash controls felt a bit unintuitive. Having dash on N was a little awkward, and sometimes the toggle seemed to turn off without me noticing. A stamina bar or visual indicator for when it’s active would help a lot.
Still, the gameplay loop is really engaging, and it gave me big Rain World vibes in the best possible way! I managed to get 16/20 before ascending (wink wink nudge nudge) to other games, but I’m definitely coming back to finish it later.
This is easily one of the standout entries of the jam! such a polished and heartfelt project. Amazing work! I’d love to see a full version someday (even if not, im def playing more of this to get all of them after >:D )

The atmosphere you've created with this game is stunning! I absolutely love it! I also appreciate that you let me throw myself off a bridge and get respawned rather than preventing it altogether haha.
I got a bit stuck after a certain point and couldn't seem to find any way back up, even with the jump upgrade, but it seems like it'd be a really cool game to play. I'll come back to this!
Hi! Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you like it! (Especially the jumping off bit lol) I'm curious about how you got stuck, at some point so if theres any more info on where it was I can check it out! The upgraded jump needs u to bounce twice in a row with it to get to the extra high stage, so maybe try that? Otherwise I'm just happy you got to enjoy what you saw :)
Sure, I'd jumped down to the bottom and then just couldn't seem to get back up to the top. I was double hitting space, it jumps, then drops down, then jumps high right? I couldn't get it to jump high enough to reach any of the platforms. This is probably a skill issue though!
I'm not sure exactly where I'd got to, if I get some time I'll go back in and try to screenshot where I was.
Really awesome game! The highlight is obviously the art, just wow! While it's of course based off of Rain World it has it's own vibe too. I love the characters and their designs, especially the sound effects for when talking to them and then leaving a conversation and it sounds like they said "Bye Bye!". The item collecting was fun and I love how they all had story information, but the fact that they appear on the character took a while for me to notice but wow that was cool to realize! The story is very cool too, again being mostly based off of Rain World but it feels like maybe Soma and Nine Sols may have been some inspirations? The movement is pretty cool too, while it needs some polish there's some fun ideas in the bouncing! The true ascend ending was cool and it's also cool you did the artwork similarly to rain world endings! It was also cool how you had zones for the camera to zoom out and have a grand view of everything. Fantastic work, I couldn't imagine how you did all that art, just wow!
What an absolutely stunning game, I can't believe I almost let it slip out from between my fingers! I loved that the map was perfectly built to be not too confusing, but still clear in what kind of upgrade you would need to continue. It progressed at a perfect rate, and let's not gloss over the perfect graphics! Absolutely stunning visual style, amazing story, and most of all, I'm glad I got to reunite Haru and Kyla at the end <3
This game was absolutely phenomenal, and I hope you continue to make amazing games for us all to enjoy in the future. I'll see you at the podium, Mr. Blumbo! ;p
this game is so beautiful and well made! I can’t believe I only found out about it today. The sound and art is incredible: please keep working on this!! 💛
i didnt get as far in it as i would like (because its late and i am tired), but from the first chunk that i started playing i really, really enjoyed this. it's like.... wall-e, meets little nightmares, meets something else. the art is stunning, the sound effects are stunning, i love the old machines you get to meet. i am going to be revisiting this when im not so dead from playing games, but i got decently far into it i think and it was genuinely so, so good. and i dont like platformers, so good on you!
What an absolute masterpiece... easily one of the best games I’ve played here. It honestly feels like something that could become a full Steam release once it’s polished and expanded with more content. Of course, there are a few bugs I noticed — jumps not stopping, falling through the ground, and a few others — but even so, it’s an incredibly well-crafted, beautiful, and touching experience. I’m genuinely happy I got to play it; it’s one of the few that made me stop and just admire it for a while. I’d gladly play more.
If you ever need help or want to improve the game further, feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to help in any way I can. I work with Unity, so if that could be of any use, here’s my Discord: Kaijota.
If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun

Hey! Thanks so much for playing and genuinely enjoying it, that means a lot :)
I'd love to finish this game and make it more fleshed out and polished so maybe some point down the line I'll take it there! So thanks for the feedback.
I played your game already and it was so so good! The art and various dying mechanics made for some really polished levels that were actually fun, awesome lil game I loved it! :D
Holy cant believe you made this in 5 days. I love the art style and pixel art. the environment looks amazing and story intriguing. only a tiny tiny problem is when your character is running its very blurry tho it might be your design choice. Overall loved everything about it.
Damn, that was a nice experience. Great atmosphere. I found the jumping mechanics a bit odd at first, but then it got even better :D Well done in this short amount of time!
A beautiful game! I loved the style, the characters, the sound effects, all of it! Both endings were also really great. Excellent work!
Absolutely incredible!! This was such an ethereal experience! This is probably the first jam game where I actually got lost in the game, which is a massive accomplishment! Nothing broke the immersion (outside of one time when I super speed flew through the floor a few levels. haha). I was able to get all the trinkets, and funny enough, the last one I found was called Gizmo!! It was perfect! lol. And the ending was so sweet!
Seriously though, amazing job! I would LOVE this to be developed into something more full! The run down vibe of it all gave me super hollow knight mixed with hyperlight drifter vibes, both of which are absolutely fantastic vibes to accomplish! lol. Really excellent work!
5 stars across the board!! :D
This is hontestly great and remined me of a nier/inside/hollow knight and a lot of other stuff :O Did you really make this on your own in just 5 days? From the description I only see that you used premade music, but this, this scope for 5 days with a person who works a job (basing on your comment down below) is crazy.... If this was fully legit made in 5 days then HUGE kudos to you my guy and even if it wasnt its still an amazing demo
Besides the clipping issues people have mentioned (which did softlock me once as I got stuck in the floor), this is an amazing submission! How you did this in 5 days is beyond me. It really feels inspired by Rain World, did I get that right? Either way the aesthetic is unmatched, the platforming is fun and the narrative is great for this theme. Fantastic job overall!
Hands down the best game I have played from this jam. I loved every part. Only a few things I ran into, such as me clipping through the floors on some big jumps. The only other thing I would suggest is the dialogue closing when its done, rather than giving the continued option to keep talking, where it repeats the same message- just would help with flow. Other than that, amazing stuff, I chose the ascension ending after collecting all of the trinkets.
Love the sound design and the bottom of the map reminded me of cloud city scene in star wars haha
