That's a really good suggestion - I did notice the text kept processing fairly quickly and made it hard to keep track of how the game was responding, but I think we ran out of time to make any significant changes at that point haha.

This was a nice challenge, trying to figure out how best to conform to our alien overlords please the visitor. Feels very polished for a jam game, puzzles were fun, it would be nice to have some visual clarification on what exactly is "close" and "adjacent" as I kept getting rules ignored when I was pretty sure I followed them :o
Overall great effort, very fun!
I really loved this! The art style is immaculate, the music is great (especially how it changes for the mushroom place, love that so much).
I have a few suggestions and wishes, but realise these are because I really *love* the idea of this game and just.. want more LOL I hope you don't mind:
* The ability to use more adventurers. It was nice seeing them pop up in the background but I couldn't figure out any way of actually adding them to my roster.
* Having the quest/adventures rotate in and out, I ended up just repeating the same adventure over and over because it had 100% success rate, rather than trying anything different.
* Having some tangible feedback on how the quest is going - the speech bubbles are very cute but no idea what any of them meant, or if they had any effect on the actual outcome.
* Bug? The shark guy never came back for his money, I got to day 12/10 without anything happening.
* Quality of life - I would love to be able to idle this and tab out, the game pausing every time I tabbed away became a bit frustrating as I'd seen the crystal ball view quite a bit by that point and I had to keep tabbing out to check work messages, meaning it slowed down my play time (still super cute though!)
Overall, very fun! Appreciate it's a jam game and there were time constraints, but I would absolutely come back to play this if you ever decided to expand on it!
Not quite sure what I'm supposed to be doing honestly, seems like an interesting concept but picking up "strangers" seemed to be random chance rather than actually spotting anything. Not sure if I'm missing something here? We'll put it down to user error :D the visuals overall are pretty good, enjoyed the perspective.
Hi! We used your assets for a game jam here - thank you so much, they're beautiful assets! https://ociabbey.itch.io/ghoast
Sure, I'd jumped down to the bottom and then just couldn't seem to get back up to the top. I was double hitting space, it jumps, then drops down, then jumps high right? I couldn't get it to jump high enough to reach any of the platforms. This is probably a skill issue though!
I'm not sure exactly where I'd got to, if I get some time I'll go back in and try to screenshot where I was.
The atmosphere you've created with this game is stunning! I absolutely love it! I also appreciate that you let me throw myself off a bridge and get respawned rather than preventing it altogether haha.
I got a bit stuck after a certain point and couldn't seem to find any way back up, even with the jump upgrade, but it seems like it'd be a really cool game to play. I'll come back to this!
