Interesting game, but I was really struggling with knowing when to catch which enemies, there was no visual feedback for it, but I still loved the game it was quite nice.

Honestly I don't really feel the "Roll the Dice" theme that much despite the randomized tasks, but that topic aside.
Let me first address the ambience in this game, the visuals and the audio is absolutely stunning, I can't stop feeling "woah" ambience-wise in my entire experience of playing this game .

But in terms of gameplay despite the relatively high and constant satisfaction, I just feel a slight lack of "oomph" after finishing each task.

Overal I'd say this is the kind of game that I will always get back to when I want my 60 seconds of tranquility. I would love to see some simple score combo system in the game.

Wishing the best of luck in this jam! Keep on making peak games!

Developer

Thanks a lot for such a thoughtful comment! I’m really glad you enjoyed the ambience, visuals, and audio — that means a lot. I totally understand your point about the gameplay needing a bit more ‘oomph’ after each task, and your idea of adding a score combo system is great feedback that I’ll definitely keep in mind. Thanks again for the encouragement and kind words — it really motivates me to keep improving and creating!

Developer

For those who mentioned they couldn’t see the ‘Roll the Dice’ theme — I didn’t use literal dice. Instead, I applied the concept of randomness. I built a Random Task Generation (RTG) system that creates tasks with varying insect catch counts, depending on luck.

Thanks again for the feedback and positive comments — they really motivate me!

It's nice, but I didn't feel the theme of the game jam.

Developer

Hey buddy, thanks for the lovely comment! Instead of just using dice directly, I went with the broader theme of 'roll the dice,' which basically represents randomness. I applied this concept to both the task generation and insect spawning, making them depend on luck and chance.

Cute cozy game. I don't see how it implemented the theme, great visuals and good audio though

Developer

Hey buddy, thanks for the kind words! Rather than using dice literally, I built the theme around the idea of ‘rolling the dice,’ which symbolizes randomness. This concept drives both the task generation and insect spawning, so each run feels luck-based and unpredictable.

Whoever designed the art, they did a great job, well done. The music is incredibly relaxing, and the game loop is well thought out. You need to master it to increase your score, which is a good thing.

Liked and rated.

Very nice little game, beautiful art, and chill piano music.

I think a side quest could be interesting because just clicking is kinda boring

Also, please rate OVERKILL back

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, bro! We actually planned to add some power-ups and boss insects to the game, but due to time constraints we couldn’t include them. I hope you still enjoyed the game!

The soundscape here is lovely, did you compose the piano? The UI was also very well made!
