I tried a different approach this jam and built (tried to built) a horror game. If you want to try, let me know what is missing and what is great in it. Thanks!
A really well-executed theme and a brilliant idea. It has more than enough mechanics for a jam, and the fact that you keep playing until you find the right combination means the game doesn’t need any extra levels.
The menu was just a bit cluttered, though—that might be because of my browser. It’s a simple yet stylish game; great job.
I’d like to comment more on the game’s details than on the game itself, because those are usually what draw me in.
I really liked details like the walls becoming transparent when they come into view and the quality of the fire VFX. Making it 3D is already extra work, and on top of that, you’ve added detailed scene and menu designs.
Well done.
I don't know if the art design is your own choice, but it adds a unique touch to the game!
Mechanically, I liked the yarn untangling part the most. Overall, I can see that you worked on the coding side in detail (such as making the placed branch pieces fade into the background so they don't distract the player).
Just completing the level isn't enough; the scoring system is also very clever!
The music isn't distracting, it's one of the most chill puzzle games I've seen, and the difficulty is well balanced.
Add a leaderboard and 20-30 levels to this game, and you've got a fantastic mobile game release. Definitely don't let this one slip away.
