How does your game fit the theme?
The whole game takes place in a single space. Itβs an action game built around just the mouse and left and right click. The core loop is about limited storage: you can only hold so much data before you have to transmit it, which ties straight into the jamβs theme of limited space.
Anything else you'd like to share about your game or development process?
I did try to make all the sounds fit to the drum beat that plays in the background. The browser version sometimes doesn't sync to the beat properly so id recommend playing the desktop version.

this was fun, the design for the virus is so cool. i liked that you can select multiple enemies before releasing. the visuals were really nice, and the pentagon particle effects. even with just 2 colours, the gameplay is such a vibe. the music also adds to that as well. i always had right click held down though haha. gg
Love the look of the game. Concept is cool. It's pretty frantic. Sounds fit the old-school vibe. Good job!
Woah, bro made a robot out of pyramids. That's sick. Visuals reminds me of classic retro game art style. Creative take on theme and executed nicely. A bit difficult for me but eventually get used to it until it crashed showing a unity loading bars. I use Wine, maybe that is why.
Great rail shooter! I like the art. It's quite difficult for me but I'll blame that on a skill issue, hehe. π The sounds do fit the drum beats just fine on my browser, no worries. ^^
The art for this game was really cool - the retro wireframe effect works great for the limited shapes. Gameplay-wise I would've loved a tutorial to get the basic gameplay, but after reading the game page I was able to play. It would also be great to have some visual indicator that an enemy has been targeted, and some more juice when destroying enemies. Nice submission though!
fun and really cool game !!
good jop
fun game!! loved the visuals and the music system was really cool. ended up dying at 23 shards transmitted, and i really enjoyed my time playing!
a few points of feedback:
overall it's a great submission and i had fun playing it, great work!!
Glad you had fun with it, thanks for playing! The feedback is helpful and I agree with it, especially that I could've added more of a progression system or different enemies.
Visually this looks great, the style is off the charts - though I do have to dock one point for your two primary colours being red and green! It's the most common type of colourblindness - 8/100 men have it, so choosing different colours is one of the best things you can do for accessibility :)
Gameplay-wise, it's pretty good - rail shooters are a lot of fun, but I think this one probably needs a little bit of balancing. Other people have said the same so I won't hammer the point too hard, but I did also end up just spam clicking to get rid of the red missiles.
Dynamic soundtrack puts you on 5/5 for audio, great job there - I played on web so it wasn't really synced, but it is very difficult to do that on web so you get a pass there lol. Good job :)
Thanks for playing it, glad you enjoyed it. That's a good point about the colour blindness that I didn't consider. In the future I'll be sure to pick my colours with more thought to colour blindness. Thanks!
This game looks and sounds great. The gameplay is a little limited and I tried to chain a bunch of hits but ended up just clicking randomly to clear missiles. If you could add some tweaks to the gameplay this would be a banger.
Your game is well-crafted with great sound design, strong use of the given shapes, and an engaging mechanic that creates tension as you rush to send data because of the limited space. Therefore the theme is perfectly integrated, and the game play loop feels fun and stressful in the best way.
Gameplay / Fun / Engagement βββββ
The game play is really enjoyable. The urge to collect data until storage is full and immediately send the data before running out of space creates a natural sense of stress. I managed to send 13 shards! Had fun playing it, but in comparison to others it also felt kinda repetitive. This is why I give 4 out of 5.
Art Style / Visuals βββββ
I like the overall art design a lot. The use of shapes is consistent and visually appealing. The pentagons sometimes felt a little distracting, but itβs only a minor detail and not something that breaks immersion. The visuals feel polished and support the game play well.5 out of 5 here.
Audio / Sound Design βββββ
The sound design is great. Both the soundtrack and the sound effects are simple but elevate the experience. Again, 5 out of 5 as I do not see any issue here.
Theme βββββ
The βlimited spaceβ concept is directly tied to the mechanics: you literally have restricted room for storing and sending data... fits perfectly here, so 5 out of 5.
Thanks for playing! I agree that there could've been more variety in the gameplay and wished I could have added more enemies. But I had to compromise due to time. Perhaps I could add more in the future if I decide to develop this more. Glad you had fun with it!
This is what the Limited Shapes theme was all about! The way you used the limitation with the wireframe-styled graphics to get a 80's style atmosphere- great! Coding the enemy missiles as red always works :)
The gameplay was good engaging, but needs more polish. It would be cool if the game got more difficult the longer you play. When I lost (at 24 shards) I felt that with a bit more focus I could play forever, and the game would not defeat me.
The music adding more tracks the more data you have was really cool!
As for the theme- it took me a second to get that the data space was limited :)
Over all- it's a game that sneaks on you. You notice the graphics first, and the gameplay seems simple... but after losing the first time, you play again!
Keep it up!
