Really nice game. The only issue I really had was the controls for getting on stairs was frustrating and stair movement speed seems much slower than the rest of the pace of the game.
The art and music are beautiful, the movements are really smooth. What I didn't really like was how you climb the stairs. Well done!
This took me right back - I'm of that generation who played Chuckie Egg and Atic Attack when they were first released many mons ago. Have to confess I found some of the control choices a bit difficult, like traversing stairs, but still very playable. Liked the graphics and the Party Ring enemies. Well done and good luck with the jam!
Fun game and cute visuals. well done, quite polished for such a short time!
The visuals are impressive, but the audio was overwhelming. The gameplay feels slightly floaty.
I think the bullets count and the axe count are ruthless, specially for the first time we get to use them. Also it's a bit annoying to get up and down the stairs.
other than that it's a really great game, great visuals, great audio, overall one of the best I've tried yet.
Some clever stuff in here! I do think it’s really punishing though. One missed shot in the first level, cause, I dunno, you wanna experiment since it’s the first level? Gotta reset. Same with the digging in the second level. The stairs are also really difficult to use. But I think there’s some really neat ideas for sure, I like hiring the mage dude. A lot of content here too, good work! :)
thanks for your feedback, you are absolutely correct, unfortunately i missed the upload of enhanced build for stair use, fixing it was so simple, and for ammo i should have increased the number of shots in the first level, and also in general the axe count must be more than needed on dig by at least one to make user have ability to dig again if he used the axe at wrong position, your gamy screen shots are catchy, i will find a way to run it as i have issue on webGPU right now
The art looks great! The audio nuked my ears from existence.
Got soft-locked on level 2 due to digging at the left-most golden block and being unable to fall down.
Game-feel feels slightly lacking / gameplay feels floaty - though that might be intentional.
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! I’ll definitely look into adjusting the audio balance.
Regarding level 2, the digging system is meant to teach players how to use the axe carefully — if you dig in the wrong spot, you can run out of uses and get stuck, so that’s part of the challenge. But I see how it might feel like a bug if it isn’t clear enough, so I’ll work on making the digging tutorial more clear.
Appreciate you taking the time to try it out!
Well, I lost all my lifes on level 4. I really liked it and different mechanics of shooting and digging combined really well and you could do interesting things with them. Honestly I'd add restart button because I think it's easy for a level to become unbeatable because of lack of resources.
Thank you so much, i did not think that it will be challenging, but you could hire ally to fight with you, or buy weapons or shield to protect you from he shop, but you still absolutely correct, it would be better to make it with health only not lives and user enter any level with full health and if he lose it the level restart again with full health, i may expand the game and do this, by the way i really enjoyed your game and the journey
great art! was fun to try this one. I had a problem in the first stage, though, were I ended up without any bullets left to get the last cookie, so needed to restart.
Fun platformer. I struggled a little bit with the stair mechanic but figured it out eventually and I got stuck on the 'other realm' mechanic. Good job though. 🤗🤗
This platformer had a distinctive art style that gave it its own character. The level design offered nice variation and kept the gameplay interesting throughout. Shooting felt fun and satisfying, especially with the added reward of collecting extra cookies. Digging was a clever and enjoyable addition that added depth to the gameplay.
The stairs could be a bit tricky to navigate because of the strict positioning required, and the controls felt a little unconventional at times.
Overall, this was a creative and enjoyable experience with a lot of charm. Well done!
so much pleasure to hear that, thank you so much, unfortunately i get the comment about stairs after uploading is closed, its fixing was very simple, i was in need to check if user already pressing up or down arrow when he near the stair instead of checking that user inputs up or down arrow button near the stair.
Really nice game, it was quite fun to play.
It was a little difficult to understand how to use the stair, but after some time, it become more easy.
However, as you advance on the level, as the resources are scarce, it become really difficult and fastidious to restart the level each time you made a small mistake (Missing a bullet, or destroying a block, just a little too much to the left, for example)
The game was really nice though, so keep the good work !
And by curiosity, I see that it is a Unity Game, how did you to make the game having a "save state" ? I really don't know how you made the game remember I have x Cookie, and y mega-cookie, even after refreshing the page.
thanks for feed back, i will add at description how to use stair, and for saving i just used PlayerPrefs, the browser have the ability to save it as any device as they not more than 20 Mb , and of course they are less than 1, then i delete them all when game over, to make user start from beginning.
by the way when you advance on the levels you can use cookies to bye ammo or shield from the shop at start scene or from any level from the shop at pause menu
