Incredible 3D assets and effects for the short time they were made in! I played on keyboard so it was tough to precisely tune the loops I made; I can see why controller is recommended. As others have said, the soundtrack is an absolute bop as well, kudos to your composer, they’re super skilled!

Good to see more games about drawing loops! I think overall the difficulty could be more forgiving. If you miss looping an enemy and they start to bunch together, it pretty much becomes impossible to form a loop around the group of enemies.

This is intended idea, you have to either kill enemies as they spawn 1 by 1 rapidly or isolate them with a stun, otherwise they overwhelm you. If not for that, the game would be just about mindless circle strafing.
The game also designed to be fair in that sense - enemies never spawn in one huge group (3 is the most which is the highest amount you can loop in a single go), and also even in case you messed up there's always a way to outplay mechanically with the hitbox of main character being very small and also enemies can't get too close to each other, always leaving room to strafe between them :)

This soundtrack is banger, how the hell did you make that in vital in 4 days?? Very fun game, would definitely recommend controller.

Yep, our composer is insane, he also did the entire code of smooth song switching between the levels on his own last moments before submission were closed.
And yep, for the entirety of this jam I was exclusively making these levels with controller in my hands so the game is balanced around it.

Would have loved some more introduction levels to get used to the mechanics.

I wanted all of the levels to be hand crafted and there's a limit to how many of them we could do visuals for, and between more simple levels and the game being more action packed I chose the second. But yes, the game is hard.

Thank you for the feedback! The trail length was balanced so that you can't just circle strafe around big group of enemies. You have to kill them quickly one by one when they spawn OR separate them with the stun from your shot. Other than that note that enemies DO brake your trail when they step on it so there's even more emphasis on playing strategically.

I persevered and won all levels!

It's a bit rough around the edges, but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun! The collision seems a bit buggy, and I also had issues where the enemies would not spawn, but a restart or 2 helped. With a bit more polish this would be a great game honestly. It's a fun mechanic to crowd control enemies to try to get one of them alone so you can loop them easily.
