A friend asked me to give you a reciprocal review to help out since they couldn't. Just under the time limit :) Fun game - I didn't play one shooting gallery until this one. I immediately wanted a tommy gun, but I'm not bad with the 6! Thanks so much for sharing! :D

I liked shooting cactus. Really fun. Recoil was a nice touch.

Really cool idea

Cool idea and pretty polished but i wish there was some sort of bonus for getting longer combos and some different point system because the current one encourages  missing headshots so that you dont kill the enemy in one hit

Developer

Yes, I agree, this is not the best system. I realized this fact myself after the implementation. Towards the end of the jam, I passed levels with average bullets and lowered the level of passing by points and time, so that it would be at least more or less adequate.

Somehow completely missed such a thing as a combo. This was definitely worth adding!

Thanks for the feedback!

Really cool idea, would love some development on the concept. Maybe some more directly related bullet combos, like ice into piercing. The plankton enemy was great too lol

This game was very fun! I like the different bullet combinations and the artwork is a mix of fun and zany! The music was super catchy! I think at like round 5 or 6, the language settings had changed so I couldn't understand it but I was still able to manage. Would love to see maybe other modes like timed mode and maybe like a shop to buy weapons, etc. Great job!

Developer(+1)

The EN/RU button in the bottom left corner switches the language. I should have made it more obvious 😅

Great ideas! I would definitely like to do something like this! I had more interesting ideas for bullets than the ones in the game, but I couldn't implement them. For example, a bleeding/poison bullet or a bullet that buffs the next bullet, which would be more strategic and help with "deck" building (or barrel building 🤔).

Oh okay gotcha! Those sounds like great ideas!

The game is essentially an aim trainer, but the mixing and management of bullet combos is very fun, the revolver UI is very creative and the art is stunning.

Developer

Thank you for playing and your kind words!

Looks really nice, too bad it's download only

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately, it is. This is the only jam game of mine that does not have a web build due to technical limitations. I really wanted to make a recoil mechanic, but the web platform does not allow changing the user's cursor position.

Due to previous experience on jam (2 downloads vs. 64 browser play) I would rather make it on fewer platforms than make a cut version that is strikingly different from the others.

Submitted(+1)

Yeah i understand. Sorry to hear. But i don't know what engine you used, but for example in unity you could hide the cursor and add offsets to your own cursor sprite position and implement it that way.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the advice!

I had this option in mind, but it came too late, I had already implemented it differently. And I rejected it, since moving the mouse in the web build is not allowed (via the warp_mouse function). I assumed that fixing the mouse in the center of the screen would not work either.

I will definitely study this point in more detail, thanks!

Developer(+1)

I tried right now your advice and, wow, it really works ._. Not an obvious behavior but now I know more, thanks a lot for this :D

Happy that i could help. Hate to plug, but would you mind checking out my submission in return?

Amazing art. Probably one of the best I’ve seen in this jam so far. I wish the UI matched the illustration style. Right now, it feels like it doesn’t fit with the rest of the game. The gameplay is simple, but I like the concept. The nuclear bullet is very satisfying to use. Great job!

The visuals are really charming, I can tell there was love put into the art! Even though it's a clicker, sometimes simple mechanics like that can be oddly satisfying :D

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! We were glad to make your day a little better :D

You're welcome. If you get the chance, I’d be super grateful if you could check out mine too: Escape the Loop, would love to hear what you think and get your rating!

The visual style is not bad, but the game is essentially a clicker.
