seem quite abit of such game but this one really sells with the level design! i think one issue is the blue water seems to be telling me its safe in the beginning haha

Really enjoyed this concept and it was really well executed!
It also felt very forgiving, which I appreciated as I'm terrible at platformers and the current trend seems to be make them impossible XD

I've seen a lot of games in this Jam with the 'using your past self' theme but this was one of my favorites - very will executed and easy controls. I had fun with this!
Although I know it's related to death, the art and sound effects make it really cute haha XD. The later levels are quite challenging, but that actually makes me enjoy playing it even more and had a lot of fun. Great game!
Game got hard fast! Love anything with cats
That was somehow very cute and morbid haha. The unique hazards and their interactions made what could have been a normal loop game stand out! I think the water flow is a bit fast, but other than that all good.
Very nice atmosphere for a hellish landscape! I liked that after showing a new hazard, there was a level that pushed it to it's limits. Really enjoyed the soundtrack.
Hee-Ho. Cure game, interesting idea for game jam theme
This was a lot of fun to play! The mechanics were easy to understand, the puzzles were challenging, the artwork and sprites looked really good, and the final level put everything together well. There were a couple stretches, usually near the goal, that felt a little punishing if you die there after solving the main bit of the level, but otherwise I really liked this.
I LOVE cats! And you've incorporated the theme very well! Really nice game! Great job!

this platformer was really fun, i enjoyed playing other death loop games as i also made one. seeing my tower of dead cats and the water puzzles were neat as i had to make my moves fast. I love the art and the sound effects, and i also like the complexity of limited lives which made it more challenging (unlike my dumbass), but really good work!

YAAA super cute!! i've seen a lot of death loop platformers and this one if def one of the better ones! i like how it uses time as a big component so u can use ur deaths right but if ur not fast enough it still doesn't work. i might've missed this but is there a reset key? i think sometimes i knew i messed up a level and didn't have enough lives left but then i just had to die over and over. other than that it's really cute and fun great job!!!

A reset button was next on our checklist, but didn't make it into this version. We'll be sure to add it once the jam is over!
Super easy concept to get the hang of and love the added complexity that keeps it fresh!
This is such a cute game! I love the way the sliding makes certain levels time-sensitive challenges that encourage speedy platforming as well as good puzzle solving.

Absolutely great little game, some levels get VERY challenging for me but this was a great effort. We need to know the cat's name!
Good point! We talked about names, but got so busy with the game it slipped our minds.

Update: I was reminded that the original name we came up with was "Mori"
From the latin saying "Memento mori", which we talked about when deciding on the game mechanics. Turns out it is actually a fairly common surname in Japan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mori
