The boomerang mechanics is interesting, though a pretty tough to aim/shoot and catch. Other than that, love the opening visuals.

Hi, congrats on a very neat game :)
The art is awesome, I enjoyed it a lot! Grabbing the boomerang was very difficult but I found it interesting.
Question from a very unexperienced jammer: how do you make your WASD binding adapt automatically (it was directly ZQSD for my French keyboard, I imagined you had some sort of code running to adapt it ?)

Thanks for playing! We're using unity's new input system which determines keys by their physical location so can adapt to different keyboards

I had this issue with a few unity games.. I'm guessing the game was zipped and unix permissions were stripped. Try this command:

chmod +x ReRun.app/Contents/MacOS/ReRun

Then if it complains about not being able to verify it:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine ReRun.app

Thoroughly enjoyed the game all the way to completion. I like the upgrades when you die, but maybe they should be optional? Like, I just want to try again, I don't need any more help right now. I feel the boomerang grabbing could be more forgiving, I was grabbing too early (I think?) like 90% of the time. I had a blast though, there's a great core game here. I can imagine this massive bridge throwing all kinds of obstacles and enemies out you. Nice job!

Honestly this game is really impressive. The visuals are nice and the music is good, it kind has that Ghostrunner vibe. Its well balanced like missing the weapon doesnt totally punish you (i know cuz I suck at grabbing it hahah) Only thing is the sensitivity is pretty low, even when it was full.

Moving around feels very nice, and i like the fact that you don't just aim and shoot, you actually have to account for distance to some degree. I also like the returning shuriken and the catching mechanic as an alternative to parrying, although the timing seems to be more tail-heavy, very often the shuriken would be right in front of me and i would miss the catch, and other times i would press after the shuriken was already gone and i'd get it. I also like how you get upgrades every time you die as a difficulty safety net. The intro cinematic is also really well made.

Thanks for playing and the feedback! Yeah the catch mechanic was implemented and tuned before we got the animations in, so a late catch felt better back then. And after we implemented the animations, we just didn't have time to re-adjust it again ><

Nicely designed visual style for this game, I liked the enemies and the cel-shaded borders. I like the catching boomerang element, though it felt a little unresponsive. Well done! I had fun :)
