Yes, I agree there were bad choices... I actually wanted to make level design force you to pick up in a certain order, but level design was done pretty late in the jam (one hour before submission for me), so I did not have time to test out properly, and that's the thing with what you think you are designing and what you are actually making, there's often a gap 🤣

Thanks for having played!

Hi, congrats on a very neat game :)
The art is awesome, I enjoyed it a lot! Grabbing the boomerang was very difficult but I found it interesting.
Question from a very unexperienced jammer: how do you make your WASD binding adapt automatically (it was directly ZQSD for my French keyboard, I imagined you had some sort of code running to adapt it ?)

Hi!
Nice touch that we swapped weapons regularly, this brings interesting spikes of interest every so often. I had some lag issue when transitionning from a level to another. Nothing too bothering.
I did not understand the use for rings. With some more time, you could have explored power ups with negative effect (I sometimes had the choice between +120% damage and +35% damage, with no counter balancing effect, this felt like a miss!)

I had a lot of fun with this simple concept, congrats !
Did you use physics computation to decide wether the ship was captured in orbit, or a well-designed rule of thumb?
Anyhow, your game and its various assets work very nicely !

Hi there! Congrats on making a game.
I enjoyed the look of the guns :)
As it has already been said, I would have liked some kind of hint on the keys to use (apart from the very classical move keys).
The environment is a bit repetitive, but it's a game jam, so you had to prioritize some stuff and not other.Maybe some screen to introduce the aim of the game would be a nice add too ;)

The engine was not all new to me, but I had never done a game jam on it (I never cared deeply for a small project size, tbh)
I'll look into when in a more relaxed state. Time-limited challenges do not give a high priority to optimization, I'm afraid x)

Nice theme ! The art fits very nicely. Well done !
I could not use the energy drink though, was it intended ?

Hi,
It was on design that the controls would appear little by little, I had a feature in mind to expose this better at the begining of each level... But it was too long for little reward (or so I thought).
As for the file size: it's my first game jam with unreal, so this is typically somewhere where I'm very unexperienced, and did not take the time to optimize the build size. Would you have any tips regarding reducing the packaged size of the game ?

Anyhow, thanks so much for taking the time to comment :)
