How does your game fit the theme?
You play as an ethereal spirit that can rewind time and create new time loops which re-enacts all of the past whilst you play aslong it (playing in your own time loop)

Kinda reminds me of the game Bloodthief (I only player the demo), but with a loop mechanic, it feels like a speedrun puzzle game, havent seen these in this game jam before. I really like the art style, sounds and movement system, the jump has a bit weird timing, but after some time you get it.
Well done!
oh man. I really need to see this in steam. just shut up and take my money
At first, it was hell, I couldn't figure out how to control the character at all, I constantly flew off the walls, crashed and lost speed. Then it dawned on me that you can jump up on the run and make a slide, and it greatly boosts your speed. And I also killed the boss once because of a bug, I flew up into the sky, landed on the eye and smashed it standing right on it :)
Red sky and big watching eye looks so cool!
The design is trying to juggle a lot and the slippery physics don't help. There is a nice experience here that's definitely fit for speedrunning types and very perseverant folks who would be willing to deal with that combat. I don't want to be too down as there is fun to be had here, it's just the constant restarting really got on my nerves - especially with the player-hostile message on the screen. This was a very good use of these sorts of assets that could be refined into something smoother to play.
I 100% agree, its why I left the cheeky "being able to rewind whilst in death screen" mechanic so you can cheat death but I forgot to add it to the death screen message.
Rewinding in a momentum game kinda breaks the flow and makes it harder to play, and yeah dying happens alot its why its a shortish game unless you rewind death.
Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing!
This was a very fun idea! I love the gothic/gory aesthetic. The movement felt almost a bit too much, once I started sliding down the hill I lost control very quickly and clipped through the gate. I wish more of the level leaned into the freedom provided by good movement, particularly early. The rewinding was a very cool take on the "past clones" mechanic that played so smoothly with this type of game.
I also made a first-person movement-based game, would be very keen to hear your feedback :)
Feels so prince of Persia: sand of time with an actual rewind all wall run/jump. A pretty neat game though some parts are so tight XD
Very interesting concept! I liked the combination of action and puzzle. I would like to see more levels. I also liked the movement, especially the sliding. Although the game had some bugs, I accidentally flew out of the game level, but it's even more interesting. The art is beautiful, my respect!
Very cool! the difficulty curve of the parkour part was too steep, and the hitting yourself thing I found to be inconsistent, but other than that the game was great! hitting enemies was satisfying, and zooming around by slide jumping was so much fun at the end.
I did encounter a bug where I got stuck dying over and over in the eye's laser, where I spammed the rewind button and couldn't rewind far enough back to revive. Either that or it simply took too long.
Well done!
Yeah, it checkpoints you in certain parts to prevent game from breaking during a rewind but... your right, the first part is quite a learning curve and even the boss fight can be tricky, some people don't know you can rewind in the death menu (due to it being an easter egg).
Thanks though! For my first game jam I think it went well, hopefully I can polish it and create something cooler later.
I love the concept! Very unique mechanics, and I would LOVE to see some speedruns of this :) I don't like that you get completely reset when you die at the boss, but other than that great game!
