i really liked this one!

however, it was pretty annoying to select specific tiles, i'd suggest it wait a little before starting to move the camera quickly

also you could add some more effects, like particles when you jump or collect a bomb or die or whatever (although idk if pico-8 has a particle system)

also  i sometimes found myself pressing x when i die and immediately starting the next game, so i can't see my high score - you could make it so i have to wait a few seconds to reset

other than that, and adding more content ofc, it's pretty cool!

Making your own demise over the course of a couple loops was very fun. Great idea and very fun! Just feel like it could use a little more work on the presentation end. Love me some pico8 though. Great work!

I think it’s the 1st pico8 game I played in a jam haha, it was fun, it’s short but I liked, the sprites and the sfx are good, I like the idea and reminded me to Ultimate Chicken Horse

I think the only thing missing to make this game better is music to complement the tension of making a hit action scene, the physics feels good and I had a short but good time playing this :)

The game idea is great, and execution of the game very well too!!
Things I think can improve is the object placement like spikes and jump pad, can placed them in grids instead of freely and also let player know which spot can or cant place. 

Overall, its really good for a 4 day jam!!!

Congrats on your first game without a tutorial! Like I said on stream, I think your narrative theming really elevated this. Controls were tight, perfect for precision platforming. Great stuff!

Kind of reminds me of my gam jam entry from 2022 where you also had to place obstacles to make a level harder ^^

This is an interesting take, albeit it taking me a second to realize you were supposed to collect the bombs. With some more variety and polish, I see this being a very fun game : )

Interesting spin on the play the same level but edit it kind of "LOOP", however I wish I saw a bigger tie to the theme.

The gameplay reminded of "Ultimate chicken horse" which is appreciated, I like building my own levels in games.

Art and SFX wise the game pulls off a decent work!

Very cool building mechanics again, wish there was a stronger implementation of a loop.

Nice game! I like the jumping--very smooth and easy to control. It was a little difficult to understand how to get points. I placed the springs, but I'm not sure how the placement impacts the score.

I really spent most of my time this jam tweaking movement and hopefully it controlled well! I initially introduced the first level to show that the player needs to collect the bombs given that usually players /avoid those/. Granted, I do think I could have better communicated how tile placement affects (or does not affect) score. Thank you for the feedback!
