There's a lot that needs to be refined but I liked it and I love the concept of a racing rougelike! In this version, the winning move is definitely to go slow, so I want to see a build where speed is more important.

I loved the art! I almost think the enemies on the track were too much. I think you could have just done track hazards and it would have been plenty difficult. But I still enjoyed the game! Great work.

great job on the 3d art! the enemies got harder real quick.

Cool concept for a game. I like the rat race idea, and the upgrades were cool. One thing I had a problem with is that it seemed like I was unable to spend most of my coins most of the time and had many unspent. But otherwise great fun game.

While i liked the art and the concept, this game felt kinda frustrating. There is no way to avoid the cat enemies as far as i can tell unless you try to hang back and shoot them from far away, wasting tons of valuable time. The handling was also a bit overtuned, as I frequently found myself over steering even after small button presses. The main issue with the game is that you dont really feel in control for most of it, but at the sime time, I imagine a lot of these issues only step a lack of time to better refine things. This could be really good, but it does feel like it needs a bit more work.

Love the concept of a rat racing game! The various enemies were entertaining too, though I realized I probably should have gone a bit slower to not aggro all the cats. Good job on the game!

I played this on stream (video here) if you’re interested in watching someone play your game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!, it was really fun watching that stream. The game definitely needs a bit of polishing to make things clearer and to fix a couple of bugs, so seeing you play was really helpful and funny

Hello! Thanks for leaving a comment in my game. I tried yours and it was pretty fun, it's the first time I see a roguelike racing game. It reminds me of vampire survivors a bit, and the last levels reminded me of Risk of Rain 2 when you loop too many times. Great game with great potential. Keep up the good work

great work in such a short time!

The game is really fun! its incredible how fast things escalate. I love how at the end there's just so many enemies the game can't even handle it on the web version. I also liked the alternative paths offering you an upgrade if you choose to go for them since they're longer (though i do think it would make more sense for them to give upgrades each loop, but be even more dangerous)

I do wish the enemies were a bit slower and less plentiful but stronger so that you had to actually strategize - like maybe having to drive around enemies or try to shoot them with your gun - because right now you can just keep driving and tank all the hits since they die to being run over anyway, and you can't outspeed them without putting a lot of uprgades into speed.

Other than that, i would love to see upgrades stacking differently, like i think the bomb upgrade feels very similar to the shooting so i think it should benefit from upgrades that buff the shooting, and maybe the bumper and the razors could benefit from speed upgrades.

Wow what a lot of amazing 3D modeling! This game looks SO good! It's not often that a jam game is 3D AND looks good so hats off to you!

I had a little bit of lag once or twice but nothing to quite the game over.

The controls feels good too! Nice work!

The visuals are great, and a roguelike racing game where the track expands as you play is a really cool concept. Only wish the driving felt a bit better and there was more emphasis on speed. I love rats!

I was trying to figure out how to deal with the pesky cats so thank you for the tip about the bombs I read in the comments! Had a lot of fun with this! Love your concept, art and upgrade system!

Submitted(+2)

love racing in the 3d world! this was a lot of fun and really polished. GJ

Submitted(+2)

The cats are a bit too clingy, but overall I liked it — the art is really cute :)

Developer(+1)

The best against the clingy cats are the bomb. Well, the bomb is the best against anything.
I just played your game. I really enjoy it.

Submitted(+2)

I loved the art

Good one

Submitted(+2)

Amazing! It's very polished! Not much to say here. Well done, you all!

Submitted(+2)

It was a cool concept! At first I was trying to play it as a racing game, but was getting constantly attacked by enemies. Then I realised I can first wait and destroy enemies and later move forward on the track. The bomb powerup is OP haha! I would love to hear your thoughts on my submission too :)

Developer

Thanks aadi! Bomb combined with magnet is the best. Also, I loved your game with the old song and that limbo-kirby like character.

Submitted(+2)

I don't know if i played it correctly, but driving like a regular karting game aggro all the cat on me. So I played it slowly, shooting cats from far away. But the scope is amazing for a gamejam. 3D models + music + various ennemies + sounds. Great job !

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, we managed to make a lot of content. We hardly put to use everything there was in the levels.

very good art
Developer(+1)

Thanks!! We put a lot of effort into it 😁
