Glad you liked the art, movement and the mechanics! The player character took the most effort and time since I wanted to implement nice animations and precise platform controls, with jump buffers and coyote times and what not馃槄 ! I thought of implementing a pause screen and exit function, however I figured the game is very short and there is no save progress, so players can simply Alt+F4 and hence did not implement these (if you reach the final checkpoint though, there is an exit button on screen). I actually want to keep developing this into a climbing platformer game, however I'm a bit confused if I should go down the path of traditional platformer or a rage climb game. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I wanted the game to be challenging since the game is very short, and I thought 10 seconds is short enough time to make players wait until they are recalled to last visited checkpoint. And if the player falls into a previous checkpoint they would have to start again, this was intentional, although I could have communicated this and the difficulty to the players better馃槄. Glad you found the music and art to be nice, music is a very short loop I came up with, I would have to make a full track.
Hard game. You can get stuck a lot of times between enemies, and you cannot do anything about it. Also unskippable credits right after death is very annoying, a retry option should be better and credits should be reserved when game beaten. Otherwise the gameplay was actually fun except for the things I mentioned.
Genuinely one of the best games I played of this jam! The artstyle so simple yet so beautiful and harmonize very well. The puzzles are intriguing (I had to look at the hints lol!), animations are good, everything just feels right, complete and polished. Great job! I would love to hear your thoughts on my submission too! :)
Very creative gameplay loop here. However sometimes it was hard to know when the character can move towards outside the map to be looped the other side, since the paths are a bit hard to see. But definitely liked the game loop. The bgm suits well. Nice effort! I would love to know your thoughts on my game as well :)
Absolutely loved the gameplay! Although would've preferred to have an option to use arrow keys, since I am used to playing racing games with arrow keys. The menu screen was very beautiful, with the windows showing different parts of the track. And the controlling of the car was great as well, one of the best car control feel of the games I played in the jam. Overall very nice great job guys! I would love your opinion on my submission as well! :)
Yeah I agree with you 100%. I originally wanted to have puzzle platforming gameplay, but the art and vibes was more important for me so I worked on that first. I am a solo dev and the art is all custom for each scene, no tilesets for quick level development. Hence I had to sacrifice the platforming part, sadly. But at least I got the vibes like I wanted lol!
Nice idea for a game jam! I would like to give some suggestions, you guys have created an isometric view style, so do not let the camera be able to get rotated by player, just let the camera static which moves with the player itself, this is how isometric is done, else it feels very jarring. Otherwise it was a nice experience! I would like to hear your opinion on my submission as well :)
Fun little short game, I love PICO-8 games! The gameplay is very good, the puzzles are interesting and made me think for some time, however it was quick to finish and I really wanted to play more of this. You should definitely think of continuing this project after the jam, I think this has such potential. Great job! I would love to hear your opinion on my submission as well! :)
Genuinely my favorite out of all the games I tried in this jam! Looks very polished, the artstyle is so good, and the gameplay loop is great as well. This makes me want to try future jams with teams too, since I solo dev and would never be able to come up with something like this alone. For some reason audio was not working in browser for me, but I liked the visuals so much I kept playing anyways. Great job guys! I would love to hear your thoughts on my submission as well! :)
Thanks for checking out this submission! Glad you liked the art style. Yes the camera work needs a bit of polish when player jumps higher than the screen size, however this sudden camera motion only happens at 2 places in the game and after the sudden jump camera should work good. This was something I saw during development too but had no time to make the camera follow smoothly. I will try to patch this after the jam.
