A very fun game! I really liked the graphics and the controls felt very natural

Some feedback for a possible post-jam version:

- Add a volume slider. I don't want to mute it outright, but it's a bit loud, setting the slider to 0 would be equal to a mute.

- Maybe add some form of telegraphing to the snake, it was a bit hard to dodge for me when it would suddenly start moving.

- The breaking and healing of blocks feels very slow to me

- The snake can sometimes be right on the edge of "screen transitions", so you'll be moving left and right which makes the view switch back and forth which feels a bit disorienting and uncomfortable

Don't take these points as a critique but more as polish considerations. I had a lot of fun with this, as I said the controls and movement feel very fun, I'd love to see this spun into a more full game. Great job!

Cool game! Really liked the art! The sound effects felt a little repetitive to me, but, overall, super cute and really well done!

Honestly quite a cool take on the theme! I absolutely LOVE sip's character art, they are so cute, they deserve all the coffee in the world

I enjoyed the death match with latte break vibe. Colorful and fun.

The double jump combined with wall jump offers a lot of movement possibilities. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

I really like this game! I'm quite impressed by how varied Sip's abilities are, and it was fun discovering how each syrup affected the physics! It's a really cool take on the theme in that both characters are consuming in different ways.

Nicely done!

am I the only one getting the error about missing executable :( I really wanted to try this game out because it looks very cute.

Developer(+1)

I'm so sorry to hear that :(

Can you give me details about the browser and OS you're using? Does downloading the windows/mac version work?

Cool music, I appreciate the bass. The character definitely needs to have a higher gravity. I love the character animations, they're very cute. It's really satisfying when you catch the monster with the dive attack. It needs more content to justify the amount of play time though, unlockable abilities and different enemies and such. As it is right now, it gets quite repetitive.

This was an interesting take on the theme. The tutorial was nice.  I would have liked a bit more details on what the drinks did.

Developer(+1)

Thanks playing! I think in a post-jam update I'll include a screen (or maybe in the pause menu) more details about what the drinks do. I wanted the syrups to be a surprise but maybe it's best to know upfront :)

I really loved the tutorial of this game! It was super easy and fun and using the task check boxes was very smart. (probably one of the best tutorials I have played). Anyway the concept of the game was really fun to play and the levels where designed very well. Graphics was super cute and the music was also great. Overall amazing game! Keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much for playing! I'm really glad to hear you liked the tutorial and levels ^_^

Fantastic project! Loved the artstyle, reminded me a lot of the early Kirby games. The enemy was cool except when he went below the map. The block breaking seemed a little random, but it was cool to see the map change over time. Finally, it felt like the double jump was a little weak, like I was relying on the wall jump a lot. Overall, great game, I really enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing the game! I'm ecstatic to hear it reminded you of early Kirby games as that is a big inspiration for me :D (especially for this game). I wanted the enemy to have a "rest" phase but maybe he should still be within attack reach.

The controls are a bit floaty, but otherwise great game! loved the artstyle.

I really liked the idea of upgrading the character by drinking coffee and matcha! The gravity might feel a bit too strong, but overall it’s a pretty cool game.

Lovely art and animations. Movement feels good when there is open space. I noticed that too many blocks made moving around harder, an it was also tough to get through little holes. I guess I could start destroying some but didnt get into that. Enemy fight was also fun with the enemy technically having 3 little phases. Gret work!

Very nice ideas  with the controls, the double jump and the gravity feels a bit off though. Cool game anyway !

Had a lot of unique mechanics and controls! The platforming was a bit floaty for me, I would have loved some snappier controls. But overall cool game :)

Absolutely loved the art and all the animations. Some of the platforming was kind of difficult for me, but that's almost always been a skill issue on my part. Loved it!
