Oh and one thing I forgot to mention - maybe put icons on the cards! I think that would make them easier to recognize because I had to actually read the text for all the cards as it is right now

Oh! I've tried playing your game before but I assumed there was a bug that prevented me from playing it - I didn't realize that I had to go left to enter a new area
This is actually really fun, I really like the graphics with the dithering and the characters were cute
I wish there was a bit more to do though, maybe a highscore or different areas to explore. For some reason it also says "You won" after only submitting 200 for me, that can't be intentional
I really like the basis you've created here, the sound design fits and I was having fun, maybe add some more content in a post jam version?
A fun premise and fun to play for a few minutes! I liked the controls, I would've almost expected an air-braking maneuver given that it's a bird but I can see how that's a bit too much to implement in a short jam especially with the animation. After a few minutes it does feel a bit empty but again it was a short jam. Definitely fun to play!
Well... what am I going to do with 500 pants now...
But seriously, at first I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to be doing, but once I got going it was quite addicting and very fun! I only went over budged a *handful* of times and who needs sleep anyways amiright? You definitely managed to get me addicted to buying all the things (I hope there wasn't a secret item that's not in the wardrobe that I missed)
A few things I would like to point out: Some of the jumps felt impossible because the mirror I needed to dodge wasn't on screen yet when I started to jump, maybe an analog jump - you jump longer the longer you press space for - would help here? And some of the items overlapped making it impossible to buy some things
Still great game though! I really like the graphics and the music fits well, great job!
A surprisingly relaxing game! I really like the sound design and the graphics are charming, the minimap is a great addition imo. I do wonder who's paying me to burn down this forest... but I suppose I probably shouldn't be asking questions lol. It's weirdly satisfying and relaxing to watch the fire spread, that's just a testament to the graphic and sound design
It's a fun game with charming graphics.
Sometimes it felt a bit hard to actually throw a throwable, because the card would just return to my hand instead and there's not really much point in the non-reusable cards once you get the reusable ones. But I had fun and I really liked the atmosphere so great job!
A very fun game! I really liked the graphics and the controls felt very natural
Some feedback for a possible post-jam version:
- Add a volume slider. I don't want to mute it outright, but it's a bit loud, setting the slider to 0 would be equal to a mute.
- Maybe add some form of telegraphing to the snake, it was a bit hard to dodge for me when it would suddenly start moving.
- The breaking and healing of blocks feels very slow to me
- The snake can sometimes be right on the edge of "screen transitions", so you'll be moving left and right which makes the view switch back and forth which feels a bit disorienting and uncomfortable
Don't take these points as a critique but more as polish considerations. I had a lot of fun with this, as I said the controls and movement feel very fun, I'd love to see this spun into a more full game. Great job!
A very fun game! I really liked the level select menu actually, the different effects are fun - although I'm worried how accessible this is for color blind people. Jumping with w also felt very unnatural, I'd prefer space for jumping and eating with maybe e, or just allow changing keybinds.
That aside, the gameplay and graphics are great! The sound design is also very fun
A fun puzzle game! It feels very original, I like the mechanics. There's quite a lot of complexity in swapping and removing letters, that can make the game fairly challenging, but arguably that's a good thing for a puzzle game - as long as the players actually know the words, which is always a difficult balancing act for word games. I like it!
As a side note: I think you disabled scaling, which makes this game unfortunately a bit small on bigger screens, it's probably a good idea to enable that.
What a fun incremental game! At first I thought maybe it would make sense to gradually unlock all the upgrade options, but after finishing the game I think it's better this way - it just felt slightly overwhelming at first, especially since it's not clear what every upgrade does. Maybe a hover info text would help? Anyways, it's definitely fun to play, great job!
What a cute little puzzle game!
A small nice-to-have would've been to be able to reposition the slime before you press space, without having to restart the level, but that's not really a problem. I'm impressed you actually implemented key rebinding in such a short gamejam and you have quite the variety of levels and mechanics! Great job!
A fun RTS with satisfying sound design and nice art
The controls felt a bit finicky at times, firefighters would sometimes stand in front of a house I clicked on several times and watch it burn down or stop walking to where I told them to go
I would probably say: ramp up the difficulty a little bit more slowly at the beginning or maybe even include little control hints on first play, if you had the time
A *very* fun take on a cooking game. I was having a lot of fun trying to deal with the controls and figuring out what to do
At the end I didn't know what I was missing though and some bug made the slime soup disappear and I was really struggling with the stirring
So I love this concept, maybe some more instructions could be helpful, but the banter was really cute and this is a fantastic way to implement cooking
This was pretty fun, the inventory system is a really cool way of displaying the objects you have sucked up
Unfortunately the graphics were glitching out like crazy for me I'm not sure why and there was no sound, I don't know if that's intentional or a bug
Definitely a fun mechanic that could be spun into a full game
it's a fun game but unfortunately after 15 minutes it didn't seem to get challenging and I decided to call it quits
I didn't really see a reason use the shooting mechanic and I only lost HP when intentionally running into enemies to see what would happen
definitely a basis for something fun, with some more intense difficulty scaling
