Really polished submission, loved it. The SFX could use the small trick of randomizing the pitch a little bit to not be super mechanical, but, besides that, it's a super impressive and fun game. Loved the game names too!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! We really appreciate the feedback :)

Really incredible job with all the art and game names.

Developer(+1)

Kudos to Larvi for the music and writing and Willy for the art.

Thank you very much!

Awesome stuff. We had a similar approach but I gotta say your parodies of real-world games are top notch! Well done both in concept and visuals!

Developer

Thank you very much! :)

Incredible art style, good job on the entry!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! All of your kind words about my art are really appreciated :_)

Submitted(+1)

Very cool art and concept but it's definitely a hard game to manage the money... especialy trusting the narrator :D

Developer

Just like irl!

Thank you for playing!

Original idea with some good balance and great artwork. I was grooving to the soundtrack. I like 'Blade and Refund: Director's Unfinished Cut' and the 'Falloff' series

Developer

Kudos to Larvi, the composer.

A personal favourite of mine is Betarune.

Thanks for playing!

Unique idea and really pretty style!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!!!

Fun idea, I lost very quickly the first time because I didn't  realize your wallet doesn't refill each day.. but that just made me want to play again

Developer

Hahaha a lot of people said that the first run was terrible but then they kept improving run after run. In next updates we want to make an interactive tutorial to solve this initial confusion. Thank you very much for your feedback!!!!

The graphics and music made this game have such a unique vibe, the gameplay was simple but in a really fun way, it felt engaging and there was new things being introduced which helped keep you engaged. The whole thing with people peer pressuring you to get the game is incredibly realistic LMAO. I bet you had a lot of fun coming up with the game titles, I loved the names a lot!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the team meetings were very very fun and I was laughing my ass off writing some descriptions, they might sound mean but the reality is that we chose games that all four members of our team love! Thank you for your feedback, I personally loved your game 😁🔥

Dude those moments are so perfect in jams, at least the "mean" words came from a place of love! It genuinely sounds like a lot of fun and I'm glad you guys had so much fun with it, you really managed to make something which was super unique and so sick imo! And thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)

Developer(+1)

The peer pressuring is based on real facts >_<

Lost on Day 7.  Your game was fun to play! I love how the game adds new features every few days, it makes it engaging. Loved your funny names for games too

Thank you for your feedback!

Great graphics and music! I liked the unique concept of a Steam summer sale simulator!

I also like how the difficulty ramps up with realistic problems such as peer pressure starting on day 3

Beat the game with a score of 430

Developer

We based our game in real experiences 🤣🤣 peer pressures, streamers lying in our faces with fake recomendations, etc.  Thank you for your feedback, we loved your game too 🫶🏼

Developer

Yeah I feared that introducing the streamer and the friend at the beginning was going to confuse too much confusion and feeling of bloatness.

We're happy that you liked it hehe.

Great game!! I outright laughed when I saw "Your wishlist is full but your heart is empty" :) I enjoyed it!

Developer

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed our game 😁

Love the humour this game goes for with the parody titles and descriptions. The art really pops, mabye even a bit too much as it took me a bit to know what to do at the start. Also absolutely love the music variations (my favorites day 7). Fantastic game, and good job to your team

Developer

Thank you very much! I worked with the text and music and I feel very happy hearing these kind words. Credits to Guille for the art, Mega for the coding and Ana for the production assistance!

I have to command the art and music on this one. The visual art were especially a positive shock. Managed to reach the end score of 120ish.

You have a really efficient team and I have to congratulate you.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! Our programmer, Mega, had previously worked on other Game Jams but this is our first project as a team (Guille as artist, Mega as programmer, Ana as producer and me as composer and writer). We appreciate every comment, thanks!

The parodies and tongue-in-cheek criticisms of these games hand me laughing out loud multiple times. I had some trouble understanding exactly how some of the mechanics worked, especially the modifiers. It was often unclear why certain things were being applied to my score. That said, I did manage to finish the game with a positive score (70).

The art work is absolutely fantastic, some top notch pixel art. I loved the logo, the game capsule arts, and the streamer guy was cute. As for the audio, it was fine. Music got old pretty quickly, unfortunately. And the sound when gaining/losing points after a round was rather obnoxious, especially with a large point change. I'd suggest making the score count up/down faster and just make the beeping not actually tied to the number of points, just have it repeat every like 0.2 seconds or something. And another suggestion for audio, especially for a game as UI-forward as this one, I think some more beeps and boops and clicks when mousing over and clicking on things could make the game more fun to interact with.

Overall, I had a good time with this.

Developer

Music composer here! Thank you for your advice and constructive criticism. I made musical variations of the main theme on days 3,4,6 and 7 to not make the music repetitive. Regarding of the sound effects, we'll work on that. Btw, there's a way of accelerating the score counting at the end of each day if you keep the left click pushed!

Thank you for playing and showing interest in our project, we hope you had a good time :)

Developer

Thanks for your criticisms, they're very useful and insightful. We'll note them (we do want to make a full version of this one day so feedback like this is appreciated).

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you had a laugh!!

This game is very fun, the art and music are great, the only complaint i have is that the beginning of the game is very confusing even with the tutorial.

Developer

Music composer here, thank you for the kind words! Regarding to the confusing first minutes, our original plan was to introduce a dynamic tutorial but we ran out of time and we ended up writing a splash art with the tutorial. Even with that issue, the player can check the multipliers at any moment by pressing the arrow botton in the gameplay screen! Thanks for your constructive criticism, we listen!

Submitted(+2)

The game is very overwhelming at first since when the sceen pops up there is inforamtion everywhere. Playing a little really helped find out what to do although at some point I lost all my money. I love the idea of the non-trustworthy narrator who is a streamer promoting "bad" games, so real. The art and overall aesthetic is absolutely amazing, both the art and music. Very good work!

Developer

Music composer here! Thank you very much for your comment on that feature, it wasn't easy to find a suitable main theme and sound effects. We appreciate all these kind words 🫡🫶🏼

love the art

Developer

Credits to Guille Llofriu, our graphic designer and animator! He's an outstanding artist!

the best part is fake games names , (hollow bastard)

Developer

Thank you! It was very fun to come up with all these satirical descriptions too :3

Submitted(+2)

Oh this was so nice! Worth checking out for all the amazing pixel art itself. Great idea and implementation of the theme with nice presentation. Love it.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! Means a lot to us :)
