Woah, this game's puzzles are extremely clever! I had to reaaaaaallllly think about the solutions for some of these! Every single one of the main levels were total head-scratchers! All the information you need to know is just on one single screen, which allows players to take the time and just think about solutions before acting on them! Every single type of game element is simple and easy to understand, but holds a well of possibilities when making all of them interact with each other! This simple-complex dichotomy reminds me so much of Baba is You, which is such high praise, so great work! I also really love the inclusion of a solution button, because I would have died of curiosity wondering how to solve levels 2 & 4 (not that the other levels didn't share the same semblance of difficulty as well, I was just stubborn enough to go through without the hints with them, which took a loooong while). Also the speed button is just fantastic! I never realized how much I wanted a speed button in puzzle games til now! There are so many creative things you did with the mechanics that I can just gush about, but to just sum it all up, everything fits so well with each other! Nice job!

The art style is really nice! Doors and electronics are color coded properly and with prominent hues, so you know which ones are on and off without having to putting in that much effort into it! The items and character designs are just really well done too! Despite picking audio from other sources, you managed to really fit them well into your game, so well done on that too!

Overall, this was a really fleshed out puzzle game! Everything was just well done all around, extremely creative, and fits the theme perfectly! To think that this was a game jam submission is just mind blowing! This was such an enjoyable experience!!! Great work!

First of all thank you for taking the time and posting such long and detailed comments, I saw you did that for many games !
Also its a pleasure to read your texts ^^ !

Great thats what I want to archive with puzzle games, that they are pretty hard but not illogical hard.
wow thank you for the comparison with Baba is You, I didnt know about the game but I looked it up and it looks awesome :D
Yea I think most puzzle games should have the option to show you how its done, because it can get frustrating. so instead of then having to google up a solution, which in most cases is going to happen then, you can view it in game! I wanted to represent that in my game aswell.

To the speed change: well actually that was just a bug fix solution scince on some PCs the character would move was to slow/fast.
I dont know why but it already was different in the unity editor and the full build game. So I implemented it for people having this issue.
But I see you really liked it afterwards as the mechanism you described, so Im defenitely going to think about such things in the future aswell, thank you !

Sadly some of the sound effects have gone missing in the final build aswell, I really could find anything on that :(

So overall im really happy to see people liked it and yea I did worked quiet a lot on this game ! so thank you again for all you feedback !

The puzzles were made really well. The puzzles really made me think and having the option of seeing the solution play out was a really nice touch and helped when I got stuck. Overall the game is really well put together and polished. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you, thats good to hear !
Yea I felt like its a good Idea to provide the solutions in case someone gets stuck and really wants to know :)

Puzzles are very fun, challenging and well tought, and the variety of gameplay mechanics is awesome.

The game matches the theme very well, and as for creativity 5 stars, hands down.

Music can get repetitive, but the muting effects when you're on the menus surprised me as a good inclusion.

Developer

Great, nice to hear !

thank you, yea i felt like throwing a lowpass filter on the music would would keep it a little bit more interesting xD !

This is amazing! The puzzles are all really challenging and fun, and when i figured them out I felt like a genius hehe. I'm not really sure what the shooting level is for though.

Art style is good, the colours pop so you know what you're looking at at all times.

It matches the theme really well, in a creative and interesting way.

Music is good, if not a bit repetitive. It matches the theme of the game, but it does get boring after a while.

I tried the speed changer on my second playthrough and found that the levels could all be beaten if i set the speed really high and moved around a bit. Set a limit!

Overall really good game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you ! I love that part in puzzle games aswell.
The shooting level was mainly just for fun because i was so excited when i got the shoot mechanics work properly ^^
however there is a litte functionality to it. It lets you know that you can (and sometimes have to) shoot your clones, aswell as that you can shoot over this certain piece of wall :)

Yea totally get you on the music part!

For the speed, that was just a quick hotfix I had to do because sometimes the character moves to fast/slow on some PCs.
I should have made more clear that you should only change it, if you are experiencing this kind of behaviour.
Yea he kinda gets the ability to move through walls ^^

This game is a GREAT game those puzzles drived me crazy and didn't feel the time passing while playing this i like the idea of clones i did the same for my game but yours is very well  designed than mine.

Anyway the Art Style the Gameplay the Creativity and Matched the Theme deseves the 5 Stars,

and about the Audio well it's not really bad, so 5 Stars for it too beacause i enjoyed playing this

Note : i don't know if it's a bug or it's me who didn't know how that works but the that button that shows the solution didn't work for me it just a black screen even if i click play

Good Job !

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot !! thats super thrilling to hear :)

Hm you did everything right, when you click the solution button a Video with a black background should pop up aswell as the play buttons.
So the Video is just missing, thats definitely a bug :(

thats a pitty were their any levels you couldnt solve :D ?

I got stuck in the 3rd and didn't know how to solve it so I passed it but again I got stuck in the 5th level

in the 3rd I was so close only 2 doors and I reach the end but it took me a long time so I wanted to see the others levels

Developer(+1)

Being honest the 3rd level is the hardest I made, after I building it in Unity I had to reconstruct the solution for myself ^^

Ive gon ahead and uploadet solution 3 and 5 to a dropbox if you want you can check them out !

The looping music dorbe me crazy, while trying to solve puzzles, but the puzzles themselves were well-designed. 5 Stars on Gameplay.. Audio not so much..

Developer

Thank you i totally get you on the audio part !
wasnt the best Idea but i couldnt find something better in time.
definitely gonna throw in a mute button after the Jam xd

This is a really interesting concept for a puzzle game! The music is a little repetitive but overall I really like how the game plays out!

Developer

Thank you ! I hope you could play without needing to ajust the characters move speed, thats a weird bug i couldnt fix :)

yea i know, i was thinking to implement a mute option ^^ but was a bit to late for that :D

Submitted

Not sure if it's a bug or odd design choice but for me the guy moves at a snails pace. Unless that was intentional to make the player want to kill themselves lol. Would take me 5 minutes to get to the katana in the first tutorial no joke. But I believe bug fixes are allowed after submission though if that wasn't intended.

Developer(+1)

OMG well thank you for letting me know !! Thats definitely not intendet D:
I experienced the character moveing to fast/to slow but couldnt fix it consistently.

I certainly hope so and will come up with a fix ! ty

Developer

Ive uploaded a quick fix, you can now change the speed to your desire, in game !!

man that feels so bad, when i did the final build it was perfect on my PC.  please let me know if it is playable for you now ! much thanks again !

Submitted(+1)

Yes the fix works for me! Had to set it to 100 lol but yes. Fun game. Great concept and love the style!

Developer(+1)

Great ! well when i set it to 100 the chacter can move right through walls ^^
