making a 3d game is a huge undertaking, for a game jam. nice work . I like the story, and that there are 2 modes . The art work was also cute.
Fun idea! I do wish there was more urgency built into the gameplay—I was able to easily cruise around a bit before needing to return home and I had a lazy, lovely time exploring the world you made. As others called out increasing the difficulty here would definitely help, but also including visual or audible feedback to build up that sense of urgency would really make it feel like a race! Thanks for making and sharing your game!
I think the urgency can definitely be increased with more suitable audio on my part. I should probably have made more modes of difficulty and a longer track.
I was looking at the game more as something casual for those who don't play much 3D games. Those who want to race/ speedrun have the option of maximising their highscore through picking off-path flowers while trying getting home as fast as possible. (In hindsight, this wasn't very obvious)
Thanks for the feedback!
The bird sprites are really cute, and this is a great concept! Game is way too easy though, with both birds I beat it in around 15 seconds.
Fun game but I wish it was a bit harder
It's interesting to see the huge difference in feedback ranging from too difficult to too easy hahah, but thanks for playing!
I loved the cute drawings of the birds -especially the pink haired spatula wielding one xD Was a bit difficult to fly but was fun and I loved the art and the music and the concept was a good use of the limitation too! Nice work on this! :D
Thank you! :)
A bit hard controls.
Cool concept. Big props for doing First Person Game, altho i wish the controls would allow to be more crazy so i can so stuff like barell rols and acrobatics. Would be cool
Oh ye I initially wanted to implement a way to do tricks too, but realised it was too out of scope for a 3 day jam :P. Would definitely have been a great feature though.
Thanks for the feedback!
Very beautiful game, but the controls were a bit hard. Cute concept too, and the music was a great fit for the vibe of the game!
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm just curious though - in what way were the controls hard? Was it the mechanic of navigating with a mouse with no control over the speed? Or was it some unrelated factor I could have changed? (So I know how to improve on it :P)
My main comments are that the look sensitivity was too high in my opinion (I think this was already stated by some other people) and that the stamina bar ran out a bit fast, which meant that my view was sometimes hidden by mountain ranges, and it became hard to navigate in those scenarios
I just saw that the look sensitivity can be adjusted ill retry
Ok so it’s much more easy with sensitivity down, I still think the stamina goes down a bit fast, but it’s funnier now that I understood how to change sensitivity! 🙃
I see, maybe I should make the option to change mouse sensitivity a lot more obvious :P
Good to know about the stamina being a problem though, thanks for the feedback!
I really like the look of everything and the music! And having mouse sensitivity able to be adjusted was great + multiple modes is awesome, fun game :)
Glad to hear that! :D
Interesting idea, I like that you can choose two characters depending on how you want to play.
Good job! 😊
Thanks! Honestly I didn't get enough playtesters so I made the different modes in hopes that one of them was sufficiently balanced 😅
Glad to know that it was a good addition though :D
Definitely an interesting concept. The FOV slider will be a great addition.
Fun and short little game overall :)
The race is definitely short (due to my minimal level design skills hahah) but hopefully big enough for exploration if people want to do so :)
I'll also keep the FOV slider in mind for future 3D games.
Thanks for the feedback!
Maybe it's because I'm using a trackpad, but the sensitivity was crazy! Still fun to try to hit the rings.
Thanks for playing! For some reason there was a huge difference in mouse sensitivity between the in-editor and actual web version, so the default might have been calibrated poorly. You can press P to pause and enter the settings to adjust the mouse sensitivity :)
Noted. And score adjusted on replay :)
