Game Description
Terraforming of the Earth is threatened. Command the defense turrets and help us to protect the colony!

How does your game tie into the theme?
This is a tower defense game where foes adapt their path to avoid dangerous spots. You will have to place your towers wisely or use nudge towers to "guide" them.

I had a lot of fun with your entry! I really enjoyed some of the mechanical details (such as having to be careful with how you place your turrets because the bees try to catch multiple with their death blast) and the sfx/music. Nice job!

Nice tower defense game! I liked all the different towers and the gameplay was executed well. I didn't realize I could kill the hive for a while so I kinda watched my towers wreck the bugs for a while before I realized I should kill their hive lol. Great work I enjoyed playing thru it!

Good classic tower defense, I wish there was panning and also new towers sometimes would spawn with not full hp. But still, good job!

Yeah it seems the explosions deal damage for way too long (and can then damage new turrets). I will fix this as soon as the gamejam is over.

Interesting take on tower defense with the mobs attacking the towers so aggressively. Took a couple tries, but managed to take down the hive. Thanks!

Nice work! The effects and sounds were well done. I tried to keep building towers forwards to the enemy base to try and destroy it, but seems like that wasn't the intention haha. Good job!

It is the intention, and it's not that difficult to destroy the nest. Just put machinegun towers around it, and make sure you have enough credits because it will adapt its behavior (no more cooldown between waves, and hornets will target attacking towers).

oh, I thought i couldn't build there because the square turned pink instead of green near the nest.

The area's limit is behind the hive, but there's room for a tower or two. I have to improve that part, areas where towers can be built are not obvious enough.

Excellent entry, I love that you included the fancy meshes too! I recommend adding a pause screen so you can forfeit. The first play through I didn’t get that the towers expanded the valid placement area and had them too far apart so they I wasn’t making any money and had to quit out. I eventually figured it all out and was able to save humanity. Obviously jams mean limited everything but it would be cool to see some variation in the terrain for more strategic choices, but as-is this is really enjoyable, keep it up!

I'm preparing the post jam release, pause screen is there, and simple-shape models will be removed. End of waves should probably reward money so the player is not stuck.

We'll definitely add terrain if we push this project further.

That was fun - I managed to destroy the colony. I agree that small tooltip explaining tower powers or even just a name would be nice! Very nice and smooth gameplay.

Had to tune difficulty so it's not too hard at first, but not boring for too long (so many games to test in a week). ;)

Cool tower defense! It took me a while at the end to beat the spawner, but it was a fun playthrough! Something I noticed was that the WASD control of the camera got stuck sometimes when moving, but the mouse wheel did not. Very fun nevertheless, great work!

Nicely done! I think some sort of hover menu over the different towers in the bottom bar to explain their powers and a circle around each tower when placing to show its area of effect would help the player understand the tower mechanics easier.

A fun little game, but definitely needs more work on the tower powers. I was doing quite fine with just the two first levels, the expensive ones were weak on the defense and not very productive either, so felt like a waste of money.

The nudge tower has indeed little use unless you want to just defend and see how many waves you can stand (and probably should have more defense). Poison+flamethrower are OP if you place them far enough from the colony.

I the tower placement didn't always work even when it was green, and the expensive towers felt a little under powered, but its cool that you can actually win. Well done :)

Yeah it shouldn't be shown green when you cannot afford the tower or the cursor is beyond map limits. I'll fix that after the gamejam.
