Lovely game! the upgrade system is very good and easy to understand, I had a lot of fun playing this game and the artstyle is really cute!
Enjoyed the upgrade mechanic and the graphics/audio were excellent, the story telling with no words was great. Good job!
Crazy how well polished this looks! There was one run that ended in a deeply chaotic non-stop pile of bad guy garbage, which is of course on theme but did feel a bit like a bug! Overall very well thought out!
Great presentation! I loved all the care that was put into this, from the web page to the game itself. The gameplay loop is simple but effective. The art is pretty and the sound complemented the game well. The story was a bit of a gut punch! At some point I picked up a watering can, but I didn't how to use it.
Very good stuff, congrats on your release!
The story is so grim, but the characters are so cute and the opening scene was just so funny to me, lol!
The watering can purpose is to able you to hit fire props breaking that instantly! That was hard to convey since we tried the "SHOW, DON'T TELL" wildcard.
Since this was our first game, it was a very fun challenge. Thanks!
Super cool concept. Took me a while to get the hang of things, and I was so close to finishing that beautiful tree for my beautiful wife, but I completely fell apart after that. Thanks for the game!
really cool concept! Idk how many rounds i played XD
love the chaos when you die
This one's definitely got some just-one-more-run qualities. Nice work!
Thanks! I really wished i had more time to come up with upgrades and abilites...
I actually had 2 more upgrades, but they got scrapped, so the game could still be launched!
Had a lot of fun with this, you definitely could flesh this out and run with it building on mechanics, the concept is really cool and felt myself wanting to keep restarting to see how far I could get
This one deserves more attention <3
Thanks! I see your game is the first too! Congrats brother, your game is so cuuuute lol.
Fun game! I love the giant farmer upgrade, was fun to get rich and smash all the objects flying at me. Great work!
Great lil game, I especially enjoyed the death screen filling up with objects
Yeah, haha! That was very fun to make and amusing to see.
Probably, if the attack was related to the mouse it would have been easier to figure out that you can hit the flying objects, cause right now the attacks look like they are directed straight left or right. At first it was hard to understand what's happening, but I got it and finished it, good job! I had fun.
Congratulations on the first game! The idea bears a lot of potential, Took me a run to realize I could jump! But after that, it went pretty smoothly. I would definitely love having some leaves to jump on, as suggested below. Good work!
The leaves man, i really wanted to make it, but i just am not fast enough yet, haha! Thanks man
Great job! it was fun and it was chaotic with all the stuff flying around
The art was great. Your title screen, in particular, was pretty. I know you went with the "Show, don't tell" wild card, but the opening cutscene was jarring and I don't really see how it connected to the game. The fact that the plant would grow taller than where the guy could hit was a neat spin, and immediately had me wishing I could jump more. When I went to buy the upgrades for the first time, I thought clicking where the money sign was would buy it and so I rerolled until I had no more money. I was wondering if (and maybe I didn't get this far) the plant would eventually put out leaves the player could land on? That would make it a little less jump and click constantly. Overall, smooth gameplay, though, and fun aesthetic.
The plan was to indicate the price of stuff on the screen, but didn't get enought time! 🥲😅
You are certanly right, the plan was maybe the tree grows and you could jump in it's leaves. But you know... scrope creep
Thanks for the kind comment.
It was fun. Good for a first game.
Wouldn't wanna be caught out in that city at night without a helmet. Congrats on your first game. hope you continue!
Neither would i want to have a chaotic ghost dog, haha! Great stuff dude
