Beautiful prose!

Give mine a try if you want something a little off-beat: https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-80/rate/348655

Try mine out if you want something a little strange: https://itch.io/jam/godot-wild-jam-80/rate/3486550 :)

This one's definitely got some just-one-more-run qualities. Nice work!

I'll preface this by saying that I don't play a lot of rhythm or musical games so my impression could be a naive or under-informed one, but... This is one of those games where, now that I've seen it, I can't believe I've never seen it before. This game probably has my favorite central game idea that I've seen in this jam. A tower defense game and a DAW/MIDI-editor actually share so many fundamental mechanics and you've tapped into their commonalities brilliantly. There's so much to be mined from this concept. I'd really encourage you to continue working on it after the jam and seeing where the game wants you to take it. There's something really novel and promising here, I think.

Good catch, thanks for letting me know!

petition your nationally presiding censors today to bring MEAT to a municipality near you!!

Had a great time flicking envelopes around in your game. Check out mine for something a bit unconventional :): https://studiokhimaira.itch.io/lamplighter

Throwing the envelopes with a flick of your wrist feels truly, great. I think if you doubled down on that you could mine a lot out of this game. Great work on your first GWJ entry!

Fades to black on play :/

Wow, this is awesome! 10/10

Doesn't load for me :/

Great ideas!

Incredibly unique art style and presentation. Loved it. Really tough, and sometimes in ways that felt unfair -- particularly one way: I might suggest making the grapple-target UI-element persistently visible so that the range is always clear to the player, then moving the target to the closest collider when it's in range. Otherwise, perfect execution.

Thanks so much for playing!! I agree, there's so much more to what makes a game Foddian than its capacity to induce rage. Foddy has a doctorate in philosophy!

Great presentation! I think you'd gain a lot of legibility by simply making each penguin a distinct primary color -- or some other kind of visual differentiator -- so that you can keep track of who's who after you've done your initial stat-check. I'd also suggest that, given the consequence of under-feeding your penguins, their appetite might be better represented persistently, like a health bar, as hesitant as I am to recommend more non-diegetic UI -- maybe it could only display once their appetite is at a critical level? Anyway, incredible polish and charm. Great work, especially for your first ever game!

Really liked this. I think with more "juice" this could be a real danger to my dopamine receptors.

Go Zeth! Beautiful to look at, and fun!

That's way too nice!! Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for playing. Ya, the game is still, at times, frustrating for the wrong reasons. But I think there might be enough there that I'll polish it up post-jam. Thanks again for playing, and for the feedback!

So glad you enjoyed!
