I enjoyed the crude humour and though only basic, I think the character of the protagonists was well established by it. The plot/lore holding the game together was a little confusing though. Some of the minigames were fun, however they were all a bit confusing - I don't think I figured out what I was supposed to do in a lot of them and scored zero points in most. My suggestion might be to split each minigame into short rounds, so it's mechanics can be tutorialised more naturally by ramping up the complexity.

The narrative is not for me, a little edgy and a lot of the humour didn’t land. Probably cause I’m boring.
Mechanics were fine for a little jam game.
Solid job in the time allowed.
Interesting visual novel game with minigames interspersed. Mini games are alright but like many reviewers noted, a bit confusing. Humour is hit and miss at times. Still, had a decent time with it.
The intro says this would focused on minigames, turns out this is a VN with minigame added here and there.
Anyway, this game is feels like a part of something bigger since there are a lot of unfamiliar terminologies (like "Qikol") and also a lot of characters thrown at the player without any explanation. The minigames are fun but sometimes confusing. While the dialogue is interesting, I believe you need to know about the something bigger to fully enjoy it. The ending also quite sudden.
Nevertheless, this is a fun little game. Good job!
Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! A couple of thoughts:
The word 'qikol' is indeed a made up word, but IIRC it's the only one in the game, so I wouldn't say that the game has a lot of unfamiliar terms. I was hoping that players would understand that it's a racist word Amka uses for humans, but I understand that it might not be apparent.
And you're correct that the game is a part of something bigger. As the page says, it uses characters from my previous works, so you can't get all that's happening without having played those. This jam game is like a short slice-of-life segment with characters from earlier games. But I hope people can still chuckle(?) at some of the stuff and enjoy playing the minigames.
Anyway, thanks again for the feedback!
I thought this was a pretty funny little adventure with a lot of unique little minigames. I was, however, confused about the shift key at first which made some minigames a bit difficult. Otherwise, though, fun little concept!
Okay, so I played this game! First of all, I love the character busts used, but I would suggest having the tint darken instead, for the bust not speaking, instead of having the name tags just switch sides, can be quite awkward. xD <3 Also, this may not be for everyone in terms of humor, but I low-key enjoy these types of abrasive humor with swear words and such lol. Damn gurl Amka is such a foulmouth T_T xD
The RTP bust of Reid has awkward blurs that make it inconsistent compared to the custom arts. xD Also, the father's bust's head went way over the top of the screen, it got cropped! But these are mostly nitpicks tbh.
The jumping mini-game may have a bug? Cause I keep pressing the up arrow, yet the dog won't jump. :O
Overall, I did enjoy the humor quite a bit and how they're incorporated into the mini-games, sometimes I didn't even care how much I scored anymore lol. But it is quite a hilarious entry with some random stuff here and there. xDD
Thanks for playing! A couple of comments:
-You're (at least) the second person who confused SHIFT key in the jumping minigame for the up key. Earlier I even edited at the game page top that it's the shift key, but yeah, I understand that not everyone notices that. The shift key is mentioned in the instructions texts in the game and its icon looks different from the left/right key icons, so I didn't think there would be confusion, but I guess it's kind of understandable that there might be.
-And yeah, I know the Reid bust clashed hard with the rest, that one is just added there for the jokes.
Amka is quite the swear a holic huh. Some terms like Qikol is kinda lost on me. Especially when its not based on an actual word. The story is a buttload of random wacky hijinks with no payoffs and just abruptly ends after the whole RPG deal. Just... okay then?
The fact that the game is named after a drug really says a lot about the wacky hijinks this game has to offer. Its not meant to be taken seriously.
Right. So. Some of the minigames are a little hard to adjust with. It can be a bit difficult to navigate/control certain aspects of the game. The pooping mechanics is one. The one where you had to push the polar bears is another. I didn't get many points from that.
The fact that Yuka had a math minigame too is kinda cool. Using math equation to match the number values by shooting the arrow to one of the slimes. You kinda inspired me with this one and maybe I could integrate it with my game if I know how it works. So thank you for that.
I got like 4100 points or something? I didn't check entirely.
Thanks for playing! "Qikol" is a racist term for humans. It's a comedy story using characters from my previous works, it's supposed to be only a short slice of life segment. The ending is abrupt, 'cause 1. I lost motivation to make it longer :D 2. I thought a slice of life segment didn't need a huge payoff. 3. I though an abrupt ending might kind of fit the theme, maybe. // I'm notorious for making my games too difficult, but this time I tried to make it more easy for the jam :D It's unfortunate if people are still finding the games too hard/confusing. Maybe I just played them too much myself then when testing. Though you do need pretty good timing with the rushing minigame. Anyway, thanks for leaving comments!
