The style and theme is very charming, it's a big shame you were squeezed for time, I think more time is the one thing it could've used, but it wasn't too hard to work around the rough spots and just be careful with animations and the like. Having the snails meditate was certainly something too, I wasn't expecting spiritual snails. I also found the mechanics mostly intuitive and self explanatory which is always great

Such a great idea! :D I liked the variety of activities, but I wasn't able to win the events n.n" I was probably choosing the wrong participant... Anyway, nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Sadly all the events were just stat checks, I wanted them to be a lot more but y'know time...

This is super cool!

Good Job

I really like the concept a lot! The mini games were well thought out, and I'd love to see them turn into various simple mini-games you have to beat for high scores, etc.  Nice job!

Developer

Same, I really wish I'd had time to make the mini games more interactive rather than stat checks. But time...

Cute little game! I liked the different activities, well done on all the animations :). I got stuck because of a few bugs I think, could not advance the day anymore. But I got some medals!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah sadly time got to me as I was working alone and had real work to do, pretty gutted about how buggy it had to be

Pretty fun Duck Life-esque training game, the animations were all very cute. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

I'd totally forgotten about duck life. Just went back to play it. That era of flash games are very fun, most of them would be perfect jam games now.

I was genuinely worried at the beginning that I'm going to consume my snail if I press the "EAT" button.

It was quite funny - having snails race and mediate and transform into... things.

I got some nit picks here and there, like the nice music not looping, or the fact that you can glitch out some UI elements if you click too fast, but overall feels like a complete experience.

Developer(+1)

Darn, did I not even click to loop the music. That's just so poor.  I really was pushed for time, hence the lack of play testing and bug fixing.

I'd never get you to eat your Snutterflies!

Thanks for playing

Great work! Genius naming too!😄 This game definitely has a certain charm to it. Feels nostalgic and cozy.

The only criticism I have is regarding the inconsistency of the UI, and lack of instant reward. It would have been nice to see signs of metamorphosis a little early on.

Other than that, great work👍This is definitely a type of game I love playing, If you iron out the bugs and polish it a bit more, it would be epic.

Developer

Yeah sadly time really got me at the end and I had to just release what I had. A lot got cut back, then I didn't have time to play test it enough to iron out the bugs. Which is a shame as I think it's the coolest of the jams I've done up to now.

Totally get you on the UI. I'd use a theme next time but the aim of this jam for myself was to play with the panel and container control nodes so it's a menu heavy game and then I've tried to use all the different types just to learn. Doesn't lead to good looking UI but was great for learning.

Thanks for playing!

I ran into a lot of bugs that made buying more snails, or playing activities not work anymore. I like the idea here, but I would like it to be more consistent.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yeah sadly with the short amount of time building such a menu-based game took way too long, it was a real rush at the end and sadly it's not in the state I would've liked it to have been.
