I didn't play the tutorial so i didn't realize the goal was to let the enemies escape at first but once i realized it, it was a lot of fun to play great take on the tower defense style games great job the game also looked and sounded great

Interesting concept, very dynamic game, gameplay is pretty addictive, I'd love to see this grow into a large game

Also tutorial is super helpful and informative, great job!

Feels like a proof of concept, but I would LOVE to see a bigger version of this!

Pretty cool and fun but took a while to understand. When I did I loved it.

Hi! I've put together a list of my top games from the jam and before I post them on the community section, I'm just checking that you are okay having your game's link on the list?

Developer

Absolutely sure! Can't wait to see my game being posted to let everyone know.

One of the best in the jam.

Super creative, fun, intuitive. Well done!

I played like 4 or 5 games, couldn't beat 207 tho lol.

I think you need to have the run be a minute or 2 longer for the sense of end-game-every-thing-is-zooming feel.

Developer

The monster's spawning mechanic will be the first thing to adjust, as every player will get a similar score right now. If you want to beat 207, there are 3 orange enemies spawn simultaneously when the count down reached 30 seconds, try to give a speed boost to those 3.

Really fun game and great idea! very good job!

Very fun and engaging, the visuals are great, controls feel nice and the idea is very creative, its one of the more unique takes on the theme I've seen. An amazing job subverting the TD genre, Great work!

If you can, please consider paying and rating my game :)

I really liked the game, would be cool if there were something that tries to stop you. Nice job!!

Nice game! It was a unique take on a reverse tower defense and it worked really well! Having to manage both a player and some towers helped add to the strategy of it all and it also gave you something to do at the start instead of just watching a couple of towers, so that was a nice addition. Having to have the lines cross the track was kind of confusing at first, but it made sense after a while - and it was actually really fun once a network of them started building up across the map, and you could just sit and watch the chaos unfold. Of course, some more variety - new towers, upgrades, more enemies etc. would've been nice, but the game, as is, is still very fun.

The graphics were nice too and the particle effects helped show what was happening, because it wouldn't have been too clear otherwise what the towers actually did. Music was good as well, and the sound effects were decent too. All in all, it was an interesting tower defense game, and it works great, so well done!

You know, if you'd told me about a reverse Tower Defense game I would have imagined the player being the invasion force, but this is a nice twist as well.

Good job!

Really cool concept and mechanics! Nice work :D

The game concept is addicting. I've also made a tower defense game, but yours is so much better in terms of strategy.

Unfortunately there is only one level, i wanted to play more.

Good job on making the game though.

I was bit confused at first but than it  was fun. The design was great tho!

This was a really good interpretation of the theme and the concept was executed well! The gameplay loop itself was also very strategic in terms of placement due to the depth added by where you place a terminal! The towers could have maybe done with some for of upgrades so there are more elements of the game that need to be focussed on at once creating a managing-a-hectic-situation feel like the graphics would seem from as screenshot. Other than that, overall, I really enjoyed playing and the concept was really implemented, I can definitely recommend playing this game!

Pretty cool! Inverted tower defense, the art was really nice and i liked how the lines covered up the screen at the end, Il say that at the start i was confused about why should i be placing towers, becuase the enemies turned red, i tought it hurted them instead of boosting, so maybe changing the partical effect would help.

good job! :D

Developer

I just realized the fire particle effect might confuse some player. Here's my "explanation": When they are burnt, they run fast, trying to get rid of the fire

Yeah, i get it ;)

I love tower defense games, and this is a great twist! The visual design and simple UI immediately drew me in. However, I was confused for about 5 minutes wondering how the core gameplay was supposed to work. The reason for this is that in the tutorial, when placing your prisms, the game does not force you to place them in the indicated boxes. I placed my towers in a more traditional tower defense location, and had no idea the enemies needed to walk THROUGH the lines to get lit on fire.

I would also appreciate being able to see the node's range while I'm placing prisms, with confirmation about whether they'll be powered or not.

I enjoy the speedboost mechanic, it gives me something to do while I'm waiting for more money!

So far my high score is 212, but I hope to keep playing :D

Developer

Right, I forgot to explain one of the most important mechanic, I showed it, but didn't explain it.

One possible fix could be to simply force the player to place their towers in the marked zones during the tutorial!

Submitted

It's a good game

Take a genre (tower defense). Inverse the goal. There you have it, a nice and polished (for a game jam) game that fits the topic!

Submitted

Cool concept :D!

Kept playing the game to get more enemies to the finish. Fun to play and I like strategic games and this has that also.

Visual style was nice too and very coherent throughout the game.  Audio fit well also.

Maybe some more tower type options for more strategic decisions.

But enjoyed playing it. Job well done!
