This was fun! I think all it really needs is a little more juice/feedback in some areas. I played this for quite awhile. I like the idea of powering up by slamming into the side of the train in order to pick up speed. Very well done and a lot of fun! Great job!
Glad you liked it!
What kind of missing feedback are you thinking of?
I think a little more camera shake when crashing into other trains would add a nice touch as well as a little more juice when running into other trains on the side. I can see these things happening, but I don't "feel" them happening if that makes sense? I like the red flash when running into the back of a train. I couldn't tell if the red flash happened every time or just when I didn't have enough speed, so I mostly just went off of whether or not my score went up. I think making the two types of rear collisions a little more differentiated visually would help me to gauge whether or not I am going fast enough to score points or just take damage.
There is camera shake when you crash into the back of the trains... it probably is just not enough to really feel it, but I didn't want to go overboard because some people really dislike it (and I def didn't want to spend time making a setting for it)
I agree, some more effects for speeding up would have been nice, but I didn't have time for that.
And the red flash, it only happens when you don't have enough speed. I was way too late at implementing this, so that is all I could do :P
Satisfying fun and addictive! The music is pretty hype too. Saw this on vim's stream and had to check it out.
Happy you liked it! :)
This is great! Pretty addicting. Love the moving screen.
Glad you like it! :)
CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOO this is sooo much fun its bloody addicting the art is on point I liked it alot the sfx well...there was one but it fullfilled its purpose the music is sooooo good in this.... you did really well...I liked every single aspect of your game!! thank you for your amazing submission!
CHOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOO indeed! :D
I'm really glad you enjoyed!
The music was made by waterflame. If you enjoyed it, you definitely should check out his other songs as well! they're amazing.
You can go into the credits, and press space at waterflame which sends you to the song used.
Funny game! I love the setting :)
The controls are simple, the music is quite fitting and catchy, the mechanics took me while to get. When I read I can crash into the side of the trains I assumed I really need to crash it and was a bit confused that pressing left or right did nothing to crash. Then I held down the key and understood how it's supposed to work and then it was "Choo, choo, here I come"!
Nice visuals and cool explosions!
My only complaint: I'm too old for games that require quick reflexes like your game :D
Good fun. Well done!
"Choo, choo, here I come"!
I love that! Exactly the kind of reaction I was aiming for.
I did make the game a bit too reflex heavy, but I'm glad you could still enjoy it. :)
The game is really enjoyable!
I think I didn't get all the mechanics right, but it has a good feeling. Especially explosions are very satisfying! Good job!
Thank you!
Interesting design. It definitely goes against most games in the genre, where the player should avoid things. This game embraces the destruction and lets players get revenge on those pesky obstacles that get in your way! Haha. I found it a bit difficult to grasp what I was supposed to do, and I had some difficulty getting into it. But I still had some fun ramming into other trains and particularly enjoyed going against the sides of them.
Happy you enjoyed!
I'll try to adjust the difficulty balance for my next jam :)
Woah I loved this game! It was really immersive. I had no idea how to increase my score until I started destroying yellow trains and the explosions felt really good. Really cool game really!
I'm happy you enjoyed. I spent a lot of time trying to make the explosions.
It looks like I still need to improve my game's description :)
Really Cool Game, I Didn't Really Know How To Play At First But Later The Game Felt Really Good After, I Like The Art. That All, Good Game ;P
Glad you enjoyed! :)

Overall, a lot of fun to play !
Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed! :)
Input buffering and sound effects were on the list, but low priority. I simply didn't have the time or the energy to add them in. I probably could have whipped some sound effects up in the last two hours, but I was too tired to do it.
Background decoration was also a thing I wanted to add, but I didn't feel like drawing anything. And I couldn't find anything on the internet that I was sure I could use. Copyright and this kind of stuff is way too confusing to me, so I'm only using stuff if I'm 100% sure I can use it.
And lastly the camera got accidentally messed up. Usually the train just stays at the bottom (though it depends on your screen. If your screen is tall, then it won't be at the bottom. Still something I need to learn).
What kind of destroyed this was when I tried to move the camera closer while speeding up... this sadly didn't work out the way I wanted it to. The timer that resets the camera (so your train stays at the bottom) is too slow, and I just didn't notice that it was an issue. This happens when you are too good at your own game lol.
I love the mayhem and total destruction!
I also really like the self-balancing mechanic of gaining and losing speed. The faster you go the harder it is to get more speed and the easier it is to lose it, but losing the speed by smashing into other trains is the whole point of the game and you get rewarded with power and score.
I thought I was done, but I had to play it again after I read about the bazooka power-up. I was not disappointed! Pure carnage!
Really glad you enjoyed! :)
Lots to like. I enjoyed the camera movement and shake on impact and the energy was great. I was pretty confused about what to do really. Am I smashing or am I avoiding? Is my boost a one time only? I was left with losts of questions, like where is my Bazooka? But I enjoyed the time I spent playing it. Kudos
Yeah I left the instructions a bit unclear, because I was too tired to take anything seriously lmao.
I will update the game page now to include some better explanations and instructions.
I kind of didn't have time to properly implement your bazooka, so I left it in a secret since it was brutally overpowered. If you collect enough power (the line needs to go way above your screen (about two times as much)), the line turns dark blue, and you can activate the bazooka with the space key.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Edit: I changed the page, so there is now more clarity on what to do.
