How does your game utilize the limitation and theme?
The game revolves around you going through the portal to go to outerspace. Exploring in the infinite map wil lead you to ores and enemies, but no matter how far you go, you'll still have to go back to the portal again. Once you're there, you can go to the two shops and upgrade various things, and then the cycle repeats with you going back to the portal. The collectables are the ores, upgrades, and money that you get.

This is a great idea of the game and a perfect fit with the theme. Really enjoyed the gameplay. Maybe make the menu more clear and make it a tad bit easier (especially killing enemies) but overall I think it's very well done!
Thank you for the kind words! I'll do my best to provide better indicators for that if I ever revisit this!
Good Game, I love the art of the shop keeper, and the controls although I would like more sliding from the player ship were in space after all. The combat fun is sometimes frustrating as not being able to move backwards in anyway makes dodging bullets frustrating. I would make the player frictionless as it makes for more fun movement and combat. Also think about droping the price of healing or droping the buy healing thing at all, their was moments where I needed money to heal but needed health to get money. Other then that the game is a delight and a great prototype.
Thank you for the feedback! I agree with your health comment-- it's pretty difficult to get the money to heal you're one hit away, so I'll definitely change that in the future!
Awesome game! I love the art and how tight the controls felt. The little trail on the ship was very appealing also. I think when you collide with an enemy ship some screen shake would help make it feel like it had more weight, or possibly have it bounce the two ships apart from each other just a little. When you have the time to put in sound it will help a lot too. This is really impressive for one week of work!!! If you plan to keep developing this game I can't wait to see what it becomes : )!
Thank you for the kind words! I was planning on adding a screen shake but ran out of time T - T , I'll also definitely add that ship bounce, thank you for the idea!
Solid game with great art especially the shopkeeper, good work. The game felt very nice and the upgrade system kept it engaging. I do have to say it sometimes took a very long time to find rocks and after dying you could only take a hit or two which made it hard to mine sometimes with 3 enemies charging you. Apart from that this was a great experience and I would really want to see what you could do with it. Good luck jamming!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the upgrade system! I'll play around with the rock spawning time more when I revisit the game, since it seems to be a common comment amongst players. Good luck jamming as well!
The art for it is fantastic, especially the merchant and the galaxy designs. As for some feed back, the camera feels a bit too zoomed so it made it a bit hard to react and shoot back in time, especially when you can't fly backwards (which I think it is a good thing). Otherwise, good job!
Thank you for the feedback! I'll definitely play around with the camera zoom and player size if we revisit this, since the dasher sometimes dashes so far it goes off screen.
What a really great game! I have a few suggestion though. Since the ores appear randomly it feels like my progress depends on whether or not it wants to spawn an ore. Also sometimes there was a weird glitch where I couldn't turn left when moving forward. The particle effects that you added also brought a lot of life to the game.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely have to look into that turning left bug : o
This get has one of the best art in the jam! Congrats!
Thank you for the kind words! We worked really hard on it!
Just simply an awesome game! This deserves way more ratings. The UI is so detailed, the game itself is an awesome idea.
Thank you for the kind words!
Nice game. I liked the feel and the art. I'm not a very skilled player so I had some difficulties while shooting those enemies (I personally think they are too strong). Overall great game!
Thanks for the feedback! I was definitely thinking that the enemies were a bit too strong, but I didn't have time to playtest, so I never got to changing it. If I ever come back to this game, I'll definitely look into giving them a little bit of a nerf
The art in this game is absolutely phenomenal! I can't stress how much I loved it. Unfortunately, with the gameplay it was fun for a bit but eventually without an end goal the gameplay got really repetitive. I would love to see this fleshed out with some kind of story or end game!
Thanks! I'm glad you loved our art! For the gameplay, since we weren't able to use the first two days due to some other responsibilities, we weren't able to implement the story. We were definitely planning to, and if we ever get the chance to revisit this game, we'll absolutely make sure to put it in!
