I got spooked. Love the visual, love the gameplay. Took me 3 tries to get all the way to the end. Nice work
Thank you so much! Glad the spooky vibes came across :)
I wasn't expecting this to be as scary as it was! This is a really well-thought-out horror experience; the task that keeps you focused, the sound design, the half-glimpsed monster. It all adds up really well.
Thanks you! Happy it all came together for you :)
Great game, you managed to create a really tense atmosphere !
I spent way too much time just looking at the hallway during my first run, thinking that if I could spot the monster during its appearances, it would slow down its progress, or something like this.
Then I realized it didn't really have an impact and I missed too much time on the sorting process itself :)
The sorting gameplay works well !
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere :)
This was an amazing horror game with really frantic gameplay. The art was very good looking, and it had a vibe about it. I actually got spooked by the jumpscare. Alsot this game is compatible with mobile to my knowledge as I played it on my phone.
Thank you so much :)
Just tried on my phone, and it works there too! Never even thought to test that, great to see that it works though
for games that don't I just use my digital keyboard! But it's nice when I don't have to go into my settings to turn it on, then turn it off so I can rate the game.
How is sorting packages this tense? Why hasn’t this Post Office got any lights?!?! Great game, I enjoyed it a lot! Well done
The post office really should invest in lighting, definitely an unsafe working environment
Thanks for playing, glad you had a good time :)
Incredible. Jam aside, this is a game I would play. It was really fun.
I'm one of the people who cannot play horror games. That's why this game was a bit hard for me, but I managed to finish it.
Only one negative point, once you understand that you have to click fast instead of looking around to win, the atmosphere is lost and you stop being afraid of the monster.
Still, it's a very good game.
Thank you so much! Really happy you stuck with it and enjoyed yourself :)
It's definitely a very good point that the tension disappears once you realise that speed is the defining factor - remco's suggestion below of having to find the monsters in the darkness to stay safe would have been amazing, really wish I'd thought of it!
Wow ! I love this game. It put me in tension in a few seconds.
What a mastery of graphics with only 3 colors.
And very good storytelling ;)
Thanks so much! Was a real struggle to try and make something atmospheric within such a short time, so thrilled it came across for you :)
Incredible game. I love how the grame creates so much tension from such a simple mechanic and good graphics.
What I find most impressive is how you managed to come up with a time limit that feels just short enough that it makes you anxious but not so much that it feels frustrating. Add to this the constant ticking of the clock and you end up with a really nerve-racking experience.
Thanks so much! More luck than judgement on the time limit - I was coming up on three hours by the time I got around to dialing it in, so only got a couple of plays to get something that felt good. Really happy that it worked out :)
It’s very polished. I the graphics are great, the dark and dithered look really suits the digital horror thing you’re going for. Focusing on the graphics fortunately doesn’t seem to have come at the expense of the gameplay.
What I did miss though is – well I get that if I mess up I must’ve missed a monster in the dark, but that means not seeing it coming, and that means that you have no idea where the monster that killed you came from. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it would at least feel a little more fair if you could see which part of the hallways the mob that killed you came from.
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the graphics, I probably spent a little too long on the hallway lol
Definitely a fair criticism regarding the gameplay - it's purely time based, with each monster appearing after a given period of time, then the ending happening if you've not finished the sorting pile once the time has expired. What you've suggested is way better and more intuitive, and would have been simple enough to implement - kicking myself now!
