Correlation to theme
This track is the backdrop of a magnificent photosynthetic city where it is difficult to tell where artificial ends and natural begins. Using a variety of different instruments, both acoustic and electronic, I tried to give the city a fun and playful feel all the while underlining the awesome power and mass that the natural aspect of the city brings. I tried to go for bright sounds that sounded like sunlight, the irreplaceable backbone of Photosynthecity. I hope you enjoy!

A banger as I'm used from you! From the incredible 'Sunset Sands' to the deserved-to-be winner 'Boneyard Bash', and now to once again a potential winning song: 'Photosynthecity'!

What can I say other than, you are everything I desire to be. Good quality songs, nice melodies, creative and beautiful. Love to hear more from you in the future!

A lovely soundtrack where you can see children playing under the sunlight and as lively as the colorful city feeding on photosynthetic power itself. Excellent work!

What great imagery! Thank you for sharing!

I gave this one a fantastic rating, you should be really proud of this one!

The only things I would change is a few minor nit-picks with instrumentation and effects tweaking to help with the flow, but honestly this gives such a vibe of a Stardew-Valley town/city that I can't help but want to play the game if it was in one.

It's interesting that this track has so much characterization, not just for the scenery but for characters as well, I absolutely adore when a track can do this!

I'm surprised that I didn't leave a comment on this one earlier, amazing job nonetheless!

Thank you so much for the comment! I appreciate the constructive ear and I definitely agree that, if given more time, I would have liked to work on my transitions to be a little more smooth (like the choir part after the B section I realized after I submitted that it kind of comes out of nowhere- so I've fixed that already).  But not having enough time is part of the fun of these short jams because at least we all have something new that's finished that we can be proud of! Being compared to Stardew Valley is a major compliment - thank you so much!

Huge work on this one! After Sunset Sands which already impressed me, I must say that you have surpassed yourself.

There are a lot of positive things to say.

The intro with the electro layer gives immediately the tone of a solarpunk music.

The melody is bouncy and very well composed. I love that the theme is taken up with a second instrument (accordion?).

At 59", the marimba in the background has a very fast melody where you added a 7th min, it's discreet and yet so satisfying.

In short, I have nothing negative to say because I liked it so much. I feel like I'm seeing a city from the SNES era like Secret of Mana. It's awesome!

Wow, thank you so much for the comments. You have a great ear! I love that you caught the minor 7th in the marimba - it was in intentional but an intentionally small choice that I thought would add a little extra character to the city. And yes I did use an accordion, but I layered it with a chip tune square wave to give it a slight artificial flare. Thank you for your comments on my submission, but also on so many other submissions - your feedback is part of what makes these jams so fun!
