The opening was kind of mesmerizing, I got lost with in my thoughts with the visualizer (awesome bonus!). It made me feel like in Minecraft somehow, I mean the music is different but I had the same sense of wonder, space and quiet amazement... special piece I dig it.

Haha that floating snail is hilarous, love your video !!! I really liked the developpement of this 2nd song towards the end, it must get intense snail pun wise ^^

I like your titles, you don't need description, and it's goofy cute.

The guitar arriving when the character is actually starting doing something for the fish kingdom gets a sweet epic vibe, nicely done with the rest of the ost :)

Loved the ending,  it connects with the beginning in it's mood but it gets emotional like if your heart beat faster and faster. But then it return to that nostalgic cosy vibe, to explode one last time with a close up on our character, the wise snail, and the gone singing sun... and the fact that the music doesn't resolve remind me that the sun is gone...

Edit : I didn't read the song description and let my interpretation go (wise song titles ^^). I was not on the same page but in the end I lived a story so that's a good news ! Well done !

Funny mix of sounds here ! Towards the middle I was ready to expect any genre to melt together haha !

There are a lot of tiny off-stuff happening harmonically and it sounds really natural and it helps conveying your story. Super fun to catch these little details, it keeps the listener/player engaged without being distractful.

That last song was messy in such a cool way haha. Loved the odd mix of instruments here as well ! A.d it feels cohesive the narrative in that way ^^

The concept of your game is really cool, and it would have a very unique vibe with this soundtrack ! Well done ! :D

So atmospheric ! :0 I loved how you developped a clear contrast with those endless pads on one side, and those airy bells on the other. It perfectly sets the listener in the feel. My favorite was Cyclical Severance. The feeling is strong here and the music filled with subtle details...

I also like your presentation and the way the music describe it ! Great storytelling. Congrats ! :)

Haha didn't think about Earthbound when adding these synths but now you mention it 👀. And these are the same synths doing the arpeggios in Blurred ! (But somewhat processed and subtle in the 1st song)

No pizzicato in Astral emotion. There are different bells that I used through the ost playing here along the guitar, and before the western thing it's actually also dubbed by another echoey synth that I used on song 1 and 3, but in the high register here (it's doing more in the low register on those other songs).

Glad you liked the outro to Blurred !

Thanks a lot :)

Wow thank you very much ! :DDD

What a beautiful set of songs ! The instruments along the orchestration (and that flute !) gives it a unique sound which transports us into this universe. The quality is top notch, amazing !

Also I loved how you melted the first theme in that last track, gorgeous !

🫶

Of that's so cool ! Definitely the whistling ^^

Yeah I went free about trying new stuff haha, glad you liked it, thank you very much !

Thank you so much for the detail Bodo ! I like your reflection on Blurred about the absence of melody that helps getting lost, it helps identifiying some aspects that I didn't worded consciously. And about that guitar part at the end of this 3rd track. Happy it inspired you, I was actually really unsure where to put that part. It was derived from the 'western part' and I had it early in the process. In my mind it was gonna be something emanating from a radio,  which would be a connexion for the character while changing  dimension. I couldn't dig the story more and decided to include this 'interlude' in the 3rd track to help it connect to the previous song, and prepare the next one...

Please do include more live instruments in your next creation if you will, I'd be curious to hear that ! That's actually what I wanted to try after the previous jam, and damn that was opening some creative possibilities and it was so fun !

Again thanks for this comment :)

Haha the hard part was to cut short many things and go to the essence due to the time constraint ! Would have loved to make more out of it. Thank you very much !

You are truly great at blasting a lot of upbeat, playful and lighthearted sweet tunes that evokes those childhood games you took inspiration off !

I love your ability to lay out events musically (like the crash for example) it's so exciting and immersive !

In the future it could be awesome if you put some attention to the space each instrument gets, as sometimes it felt like the piano was too deep, creating a 'mud' arou d the rest of the sound for example. I think it could make your tunes truly shine !

But your musical qualities already make this super fun to listen to ! Keep it up :D

Wooof, I won't lie, I postoned this one after your comment because of it's lenght 😅 But this Port Corella place definitely has a surf rock/lofi vibe that make it attractive :D I liked how consistent you kept the whole thing while being two and having a lot of tracks. Well done !

I guess you had some fun adding all those plucky elements/harps movements and other characterisics sounds from thrillers ! It's very cinematic !

The ambiance is incredible from the start, really well executed, and that first violoins run is georgously thrilling !

The whole thing is super cinematic from start to finish. You developped different/recurring themes for different moments of the games that fits their location perfectly so superb job :)

Alter in the Basement was the highlight for me ! :D

I agree with BodoTheSerf : time stamps on YouTube video would be a big +

Amazing set of tracks ! I think what you accomplished very well here is that ambiant background music with melodies that can be repeated without boring the player/without catching it's attention too much.

I think that's not easy to do, and your ost is still playfull and has a musical identity, it sets the mood for the moments you described very well. It would leave room for more personalised character themes and story moments to stood out (which I would love to hear one day :) so amazing craft on that level imo.

Many tracks presented great and subtle ideas to expand quietly, and that Toy Soldier track was so well composed ! Super interesting, bravo :)

Amazing work on the textures throughout the songs ! I and really liked the contrast between the beat and the free piano lines coming kind of outside of the tempo grid. Nice effect :)

oupsie

Wow Broadwalk Arcade has some amazing motions in the melody 🤯 super cool !

Ending was also really great, I love the piano concerto n2 of Rachmaninoff and hearing it quoted like this is neat :D

Oooh too bad you couldn't upload that song derived from the first track, I would have loved to hear that evolution :( Technology can be a pain in the ass sometimes... 😅

Wowowo the combo of organ and choir in the last track was so powerful right from the start !

Very strong piece ! I don't really know what to say to help... I mean, impressive compositional work, you can be proud of it :D

Hâte de voir ce que tu feras apres d'autres progrès ! Bien joué ;)

This is such a lovely soundtrack,  the sounds and instruments creates a sweet atmosphere !

I loved that augmented chord in Don't be afraid with it's naive and melancholic melody ! My favorite :D

The choice of instrumentation and rythm in the melodies made me feel being in La Bretagne, but in whimsical way ;)

The drawing is awsome,  I really like the design of that character.  And giving the Akou a game concept is a really cool idea ! I knew the myth and you really gave him life in this ost, well done !

Et vive la Bretagne :p

Nice vibe here ! I think Twinkling was my favorite :D

I loved Magic Over the Water so much !! The arpeggios and your voice exploring some unexpected modes from time to time were a neat treat above the overall ambiance of the piece. Really interesting stuff !

Your music feels very exotic and haunting. It was easy to get into and it has a naïve feel to it that connects to the soul instantly, beautiful.

Also top marks for creativity and super bonus for how you've made a lyre yourself that you could use !

Super interesting ost !

Amazing quality for a one day work :0 ! The quality is always really good !

Haha ! Don't be I just whistle all the time ^^

Thank you so much !!

Ok then whistle battle when ??

At first I was afraid the soundtrack to be too busy when reading you had tons of instruments playing the melody at the same time, but it was actually really well paced. Especially on Today is NOT a good day for example there are some instruments going under the main run and it's giving space and groove ! Well done :)

My favorites were the first and last track. The first one is very energetic and conveyed that anger despite being upbeat and playful, great track ! And that last one is so chaotic with it's extatic and goofy melodies !! A trademark of yours I guess :p

Thank you very much for this detailed feedback ! I tink you have a great writing to express and describe music with words. It is really an appreciated strenght :)

It helps me getting what worked better etc, I even like reading your comments on others submissions haha ! (after listening to avoid spoilers)

Interesting to hear your own interpretation of what blurred meant musically. Glad it had this effect :D

Thank you very much I appreciate the words ! Loved to hear your perception about Blurred being more impactful because of the freedom in tempo in other songs, interesting :) Thx !

Your ost has a strong character to it, it's catchy and engaging. I like the cohesiveness of its sounds and it almost feel like an already existing game !

Bailen la Playa was a great style adition for a rythm game ! Didn't expect that haha

Wow loved when the organ kicked in during Sunstolen espionnage ! That vibe was groovy and well made ! Definitely :)

Poor Dyson, having such a name... ^^

Those opening synths were beautiful !km Kind of brassy and soft... It perfectly set the mood for drifting off ! Great opening :)

This was my favorite especially for that !

Loved those chords on Last Seen <3 great intro ! I always love how you build your melodies !

The investigation is less busy and leave place for that investigation time, great move there I feel.

OOH so bluesy/jazzy on Then THAT means, and yet you kept it in the vibe established before :D The ryhtm is so catchy! It still felt like investigation to me but in a more tensed way. So it make sense as the previous theme leaves place for exploration while this one implies tension and a notion of urgency about piecing everyrhing together. Well made.

Aaaaw plot twist ! Didn't see that coming haha ! I had a second listen while reading the description and the pitched chords must be so effective if I imagine it in game, at that moment 👌

Then again, very effective track for an end game escape phase with Unhide !

I feel like your storytelling has improved, or at least, it is carefuly crafted and impactful there ! Don't know if it's the new rating criteria or just that story you wrote but it makes your music even cooler than before , GGs !!

Edit : paying more attention to Then THAT Means on re listen, I barely noticed the time change and I can't right now put my head around it ^^, but it feels so natural. Amazing job !

Haha pun on spot ;) thank you very much :0 !

Trop cool que ça t'ai plu ! Et content si la musique a marché et ta emmené ! :D merci !

Thank you so much ! I was excited to use the guitar as a main instrument for some parts as I never tried before :D

Astral Emotion was my starting point and it's kind of my fav too, so fun to do something like this :)

Aaaaaah so I just need a purple sparkle finish to get this kind of tone right?!

Nah nah overkill or not the result is here and you had fun doing it and I had fun listening to it so...

Purple sparkle, thanks for the detailed response it's actually super interesting :)

Sooooo so cool that you could record all those typical instruments :0 !! The quality is amazing ! It gives so much character to the ost and really feels Irish but magic Irish you know haha. You gotta give a context for the Selkie !

I especially loved how nothing really happened in The Original Pool, like a break from the debuted adventure, and it was still so transporting wow, amazing craft on that one for me ! Highlight

Amazing journey ! Thank you for this man ! :)

Clearly could picture the stars falling around me right from the beginning, immersive start :D

Well the cinematic quality is impressive ! Again, you've described a scenery so well with the shimmering sea of souls. After getting through the gate that was a magnificent view. And the voice inviting us to that infinite place, such a trip...

Nice to have the previous theme revisited in a more tense manner with  Shooting star :)

What a surprise whith the vocoded like voice on the last song, it's simple and beautiful and this choice makes it more impactful

Amazing journey you took me on, thanks for sharing !

Sweet, in one night ? Impressive !

Gret harmonies on the second one I liked that :)

Yaaay Western Spaghetti haha I actually started with this one cause I had fun vibing like this ^^

Thank you :)

Wow great atmospheric quality on this soundtrack !

Everything is well placed, it feel spacious, nebulous.. the mix is awesome

The transition from one dimension to another are well implemented musically,  I could imagine things getting more vibrant and colorful gameplay wise !

It's quite contemplative and it fits the idea of gathering  shards of memory very well, gret job about this :)

Really interesting atmosphere that you pulled out perfectly !
