Very cool, I think the enemies were a bit hard to recognize and, really, there just needs to be more feedback when you hit things.

As a Wriggle Nightbug fan, this was something I had to try. And, wow. Wriggle Nightbug feels amazing to play as. Extremely fast movement speed. Backflips, wallkicks, double jumps, and a flying kick that doubles as both an attack and an airdash. The divekick and rollout combo is really cool: I wish there were more places to use it.

Graphics are pleasing: I like the choice of colors. The music is outstanding! The first stage theme is something I'd listen to on its own, it's very good.

The two bosses are loads of fun to fight. Contrary to the other reviewers, I didn't find Alice's second phase particularly hard to hit. With enough skill, she can be hit repeatedly while jumping between the walls. Once, I managed to defeat her before she was finished setting the phase up, which caused her to glitch out big-time.

Main complaint is that the level design feels unpolished. In particular, the setups in the second and fifth levels are rather awkward. The introduction to ceiling-running isn't very clear. The freeformness of a lot of the terrain feels unprofessional, and the particularly steep slopes used in a few places are very janky.

It's often hard to see where you're going. You could try making the camera look forward in the direction you're moving, instead of being right on your character at all times.

Very minor nitpick, but the kick button doesn't do anything if you're clung to a wall, so it's very easy to accidentally cling to destructible blocks and be unable to break through them.

All in all, lots of fun. This is something I would love to see more of.

I love this game. I go really fast and feel cool :) all the music and visuals are super consistent and adorable, and the level gimmicks kept me on my toes. I would gladly play a full 8 worlds of this.

Very cool movement touhou. Had just about all I can hope for.

Fast and slick. The movement and physics are highly polished. Art is pretty nice too, and the music is great. I hadn't played such a fast platformer before, so I struggled a bit on some parts, but that's more on me. I played again a bit today to review before rating, and I got a much better handle on it. Overall a fantastic game.

Absolutely majestic.

A near perfect game, I know a rayman clone when I see one and this is pretty epic too, when you dominate the mechanics you feel unstoppable. And yep, I lol'd at the end xD.

I didn't played for score but I had a great time, it could be even better if you hint the players to get all the fireflies just for another fanart as a reward.

It's awesome what you achieved on this jam, thank you very much.

This is a wonderful little game! I struggled a bit with Alice's second phase, but it was a pretty solid experience overall! The only possible issue I noticed was that you can come to a complete stop on the half-pipes, but that could easily be chalked up to Wriggle being an insect.

I love Sonic the Hedgehog, and I like a lot of the Mega Man X games. Take that and combine it with Touhou, and you get a great 2D Platformer. I had a ton of fun playing this game, and I'm guessing that it would also lend itself really well to speedruns (I found a skip or two myself during my run).  Also the final boss was amazing.

great game. nice plattformer.

boss fights were good.

the ending was pure comedy gold. toughest fight ever.

Yooo look at her go! Pretty fun speedrun game, easily - the game (or rather the levels) are short enough to have fun optimizing and perfecting it on multiple runs. Wriggle is just that fun to play as in here.

Also seeing her so smol and so fast is funny.

well wouldja look at that. its the uh. best game in two or three of the categories. by a pretty fair amount. usually it isnt so obvious

this shit plays like DIVINITY my guy FOR REAL

super short but SHIT is it pretty and SHIT is it smooth. what physics. god damn. slap these in any full game and youre set for life. you can only jump and kick and dive but each of those moves work so well.................kick sets your speed flat so its good while moving slow and bad while moving fast unless you gotta stabilize your y........................bussin

RUN FAST FUN FANCY

Very fun game! The art/music were great and the game felt polished. It was definitely a challenge since somethings required very specific timing/movement, but overall it was a fun play (I loved the second boss fight XD). I do wish the ending was more fleshed out like the beginning, but I assume that comes down to time constraints. I enjoyed this a lot!

I love it! The simple yet tight controls reminded me of Super Fancy Pants. And the chiptune really made the gameplay feel comfy, like a night drive. The Alice boss fight was also really creative, unfortunately it seemed that poor Cirno didn't make the cut.

If I were to slightly nitpick, though, the two levels feel rather "empty". They are certainly well-designed and fits the controls incredibly well, but in terms of appearance, it can get a bit monotone. Perhaps a little bit more decorations and background objects could help here.

I am an absolute pleb when it comes to platformers, so I won't judge those aspects too harshly, because I assume most of that comes down to a Skill Issue(tm) on my end. (It took me 45 minutes ti finish.) I'll note some other comments which stated it felt very slippery at points, and that wall jumps were very hard to understand. At some point, I brute-forced a section by quickly tapping kick and jump. The pixel art is very expressive, and the environments are wonderful. The music is very good as well. The story is cute, though I wish there were a bigger closing scene silimar to the opening scene, which was a 10/10. Overall, though, this is a very well-done game. Props!

Wow that was awesome. Feels like a classic Sonic game on overdrive, what with the super fast speed, running on walls, and multiple paths. I loved the opening cutscene (the art in general) and... oh my that's some great movement. Just moving around feels so good, I'd love to play a longer game with these controls. Though like Kevin Mink said, walljumps felt a little awkward, likely because they were really short.

The first boss was kinda hard to hit in the second phase, which was fine for me but might be pretty annoying if you're trying to speedrun it like the game clearly wants you to.

I loved the final boss as well. Possibly the greatest challenge I have ever faced in gaming.

In short, 'twas hyper-slick.

Very cute, very smooth movement. I will say though that I struggled on a number of bits because of how tiny the things you need to hit are (and how easy it is to hurt yourself when throwing yourself against them to attack, but misgauging the range) but I could feel myself getting the hang of things by the end, and it was a nice feeling

A lovely challenging platformer game, as to be expected from this team! Reminds me of Sonic games with all the high-speed jumping, dashing and running through half-loops, haha. SlowBro's music is very high-quality (as to be expected, yet again) and sound-effects are also on-point!

My complaints are that the movement was too slippery for my liking, wall jumps didn't feel as satisfying as regular jumps (probably because they were shorter?) and the half-loop running sections were difficult to execute. However, I'll chalk most of this up to my own lack of experience with platformer games.

Kind of wish we got an actual Cirno boss, would've been a fun fight :pensive: But otherwise a wonderfully solid work!
