This was really neat! At first I had no idea what was going on, but gradually I pieced everything together and that was fun. I think I guessed on a couple in the first chapter but most of the things I could eventually figure out.

This was so cool. Really interesting puzzles in each room to solve. It's a nice touch that you can go back and forth to solved rooms and review the answers from them. I will admit that got frustrated a little bit too quickly and defaulted to trial-and-error in a couple of places... and I needed the encoded clue you left in comments to solve the last one.

Really well done!

Mystery is really nice, i felt that sometimes i was purely going by elimination and that kind of dimmish the satisfaction of deduction. Love the setup and jazzy ambiance mixed with some magics. Great job !

Good puzzle and well written lore! Just a nitpick, I think it’s better to have information discoverable in the main puzzle rather than in the solve screen. I know it’s a process of elimination thing, but some of those information felt like it came from nowhere. It would be better if it came up in some article or work which justifies its entry into the player’s option space. I think that’s what Joszs meant by brute-force. Anyways, I had fun, great job!

Thanks for your thoughts, and for being such a champ and playing all the entries in the entire jam!

There is some variance in the art styles used which makes it a bit inconsistent. Overall the art is great

Sounds are good, nice feedback when getting something right. Nice lounge music, very relaxing.

The 1st and 2nd sentences in the first act were a bit difficult to solve, especially how to find out the last names which made me feel like I was missing some information. I used brute force to solve them.

I did not read in the solving stage that there were headers the women vs. the men. You could add some more visual distinction there.

Cool game!

Well, now I simply have to dive into the history of the avant-garde of a pre-WWII era! 😅

Absolute joy. Puzzles are amazing and I felt very proud when found a solution. Especially love the gradual increase of complexity and the fact that knowledge acquired in previous rooms while not strictly required, can be of help. This helps with imagining the world of the game as well as unlocking more sophisticated puzzles. Art is charming, clean, and beautiful! Very well done!

I did have a problem with the second room and am still not sure about the answer. Don't want to leave spoilers here so please hit me on Discord when you have a chance

If you are interested in this topic you'll love reading about the three real artists that my fictional artists are based on: Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, and Leonor Fini. They all lived absolutely fascinating lives.

Lovely game, what a cool theme!

Great game, plenty of good "aha!" moments.

For me, the second room was most difficult. Probably because the clues became much more linear in submitting solutions - solving the first clue helped with the second, etc - whereas in the first room I solved the bottom clues first and everything just fell into place after. Also, I didn't realize the last clue in room 2 (the pictures and grimoire)  was all one clue, so I did a lot of second guessing where I shouldn't have.

But in the places I got stuck (that last clue in room 2 was the only place I was really lost for several minutes), once I got the solution I thought "Aha, so that's the clue I was missing!" when I checked the exhibit again. Very well done.

Very nice concept and I liked having tit bits of information spread around. I struggled with the last room until I gave up because what I thought happened was completely wrong and despite getting two lines right, the rest, I was still clueless. I am not sure if that's just me missing clues or if there could be an easier way of laying out the puzzle.

All in all though felt very polished and I liked the artwork and style used. Some fonts were a bit tricky to read even for me and I don't normally struggle with that.

Nice submission and congrats :)

I left a bigger comment on the game’s page itself, but I want to say here congrats on the submission! I look forward to playing the rest of it.

Nice game. The art is great and the music really fit the game. Congratulations.
