This game really surprised me, It's funny, it's simple, it's really just Simon but it's damn well executed
I do appreciate how being able to memorize the patterns becomes its own incentive without gating the narative, that's really well done.
I am assuming that the peculiar way the input buttons are layed out is meant to invoke a specific motion?

I really loved the art in this. It looks really really good, and the color palette fits really well. Story is fun!

It's pretty well done and I like the ideas that went into it. The palette is used pretty well and I imagine the technical aspects are pretty sharp with how it plays. I find the writing I find to be pretty fun. Unfortunately I don't really enjoy playing memorization games.

Sounds and graphics are perfect. Retro and funky. I also like the story in the beginning. The story after that could have been more exciting. Due to the short developing time you cannot expect much more, however. The  game difficulty level ramps up too quickly, and I didn't like the controls with keys in a vertical arrangement, but I guess I can get used to it. The main problem is perhaps that it was difficult to understand the scoring system.

The fuckin' job titles in the credits tho-- The hell ya'll doing in that studio LOL

Jokes aside though, this was a really fun game! I liked the silly dialogue (and the fact that the jank translation seems to be randomized for every playthrough) and the funky concept behind it. Artistically, you did a solid job with such a limited palette. The character designs are charming, the detail is professional grade, and I like the funny lil' bobbing the alien does in his tank. :]

Music wise, it was very catchy! I noticed a couple of songs were a little on the repetitive side, but they were still very enjoyable despite it. I'm absolute garbage at rhythm games that require memorization, so I don't think I could give a decent critique on the actual gameplay, but I did encounter a strange bug: When I missed a note, sometimes I couldn't continue the flow even if I hit the right key. Other times, it would let me? But I would still take that with a grain of salt, I might have just been messing up that badly. Still, great game overall!

i would like to be a pepper

The graphics are grotesque, and have great detail for only 4 colours, good job.

DJing is very fly; the story integrates the theme nicely.

One thing that isn't explained in the game: if I mess up a note, I do not continue through the pattern; I have to do each note to complete the sequence.

Also, trying to keep the beat was too difficult for me, after the first level, so I started only doing the sequences by colour.

This game has so much awesome potential!!!

I loved the design, the music, the controls were awesome.

I felt the difficulty ramped up a little too much. The difference between the first level (too easy) and the second level (too hard) was a big leap I wasn't ready for. Going forward I'd try to make the difficulty ramp a little smoother. The story felt a little front loaded, but I did enjoy the funny translations in between levels.

Overall, solid idea. The art has me feeling nostalgic, and the music had me bobbing my head from side to side while I played.

Hey! I just jumped on and played again, because the art is so good, and one more thing jumped out at me, if you are going to work on it more: the notes making different sounds during the same level, made it much less of a music game and much more of a looking and following game. I never got to know which note made which sound, so I couldn't listen and feel my way through levels, I had to watch and count the flashing lights.

Great design though. I hope you keep working on it. I love these kinda games.
