  • Wow, very impressive game. The graphics, gameplay, and stage progression were excellent.
  • Super game, almost flawless. Beautiful parallaxes and effects, 4 neat soundtracks. A 2-player mode, bosses, ... it's all there!
  • Honestly, an impressive game — the way the second player is handled by the computer is incredible. There’s no slowdown, it looks great, and there are amazing transparency effects. The game is super dynamic, and it really makes you think that Alien Soldier could have been possible on the Super Nintendo. There’s nothing to complain about — I’m not really a fan of the design of the two main sprites, the two characters, but everything else looks great. It’s a very enjoyable experience, and apparently it’s even playable with two players, which is awesome. Maybe adding weapon upgrades or similar elements could make it even more engaging, but honestly, once again, it’s extremely promising. Well done!
  • Amazing game, very hard. I am impressed with the CPU 2nd Player. Music fits very nicely. Better graphics than some official releases had. I hope to see more from you or an extended version with some more musical and level variety.

Very polished game, and a lot of fun! I would have loved to play this as a kid with my Brother. Lots of small touches utilizing the SNES hardware.

Certainly the biggest technical achievement and most action-packed entry of this jam, congratulations!

Had a ton of fun playing this one for a bit. Controls are tight, visuals are good and no slowdowns.

You know my thoughts on this from my comments on X: easily my favorite game of the Jam. It’s the most polished entry and the best technical showcase for the SNES—and I really wish there were more projects like this, and beyond, in the wider SNES dev scene. It’s also the one I’d most love to see developed into a full game, maybe with an awesome pixel artist on board to push the visuals even further on an artistic level. I know it’s never going to happen, but just imagine if you could get pixel artists with the level of talent seen at Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, Sega, Square Enix, or Treasure working on a full version of this game. There’s so much potential here.
