A really neat concept! I think the controls are fairly awkward to get used to (and it's very easy to accidentally skip the tutorial and end up quite lost), but at the core it's a really fun take on a platformer. I agree with some of the other commentors that I would much rather have the analog stick or wasd control movement and a pair of other buttons (like the shoulder buttons or something) control rotation. As it is now, I think it ends up being kind of unintuitive to control rotation and then hold a modifier button to also move in the direction of the rotation. The controls were probably the biggest sticking point for me. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish, as after I died in one level it seems like the game froze after trying to restart the level.

Not sure how to move him in mid-air? It says Q/E but that doesn't seem to do anything for me. Also with the jump I'm not sure how to change the "scale" of the jump, sometimes it's short and sometimes tall.

Yeah I forgot to updated the control scheme on the itch page to the new one, sorry for the mix-up. I also messed up with the tutorial by making it skippable with the jump button. Thanks for trying it out though.

First things first, I'm obsessed with Nor's design. All of the art of him perfectly fits that 90's era of gross out humor perfectly, and like many others have said, the game feels right at home on the SICK. I do agree that the controls are experimental, but I too had accidentally skipped the tutorial, and watching through it made things click a whooole lot more! Maybe i would have made the default to move Nor, and then to rotate him you would hold down a button instead of vice versa. GREAT use of the theme, and overall great work!

It was genuinely fun! I wish I had more stages to play.

the style and theme of this game fits the jam so well! it feels exactly like what a game on the S.I.C.K. would be like.

i did have some trouble learning the controls, but after my first loss i realized i accidentally skipped the tutorial lol.

i think with the tutorial, i understood the concept a lot better, but still struggled with landing right-side-up a lot of the time. I totally get what you were going for though! also, like what others said, sound design here was amazing:)

A cool concept and I love what a team was able to put together in such a small time frame, especially when needing to compete against Sonic.

It took a little bit of work to figure out the controls. I think some on screen prompts and possibly a tutorial level with a more forgiving timing would help with the learning curve.

I only played in browser, so that could be adding to what I'm feeling in the controls, will try again with a controller with the downloaded version.

Couldn't really figure out the controls so I didn't really get anywhere, but enjoyed the sound and visuals. Cool game!

Had a hard time figuring out how to turn but really liked the jump mechanic! Art and music was very fun, fit that SICK vibe!

The concept is rad. The controls and execution were a little too experimental for me. When stuff is new and weird I need a lot of juice to, uh, lube down that learning friction. Nice sound FX
