Short, sweet and effective, I'd like to see more from this universe!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I think I am going to add a bit to this game so- stay tuned. I have your game downloading as I type.

Super cool art, sounds design was super well done, genuinely creeped me out at times!

Developer

That's all I really wanted! Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Considering this was submitted 3 days before the deadline, I do have to take that into consideration..
I did enjoy the story, I do wish there was a bit more to it that could have been added.
There was only a bit of reading, and no real gameplay other than moving around. The menu was also a default menu and you didn't change any of the classes or information like that to suit the game properly.
Now the art? the creep factor was amazing. I loved the colors and faces and looks of the rooms used. it was really good.

Developer

I have very limited knowledge when it comes to this kind of thing. I almost use the program like a rough draft due to having no programming knowledge, which is something I intend to acquire over time. I definitely didn't take the menu into consideration at all. It was more so just supposed to be an interactive story. would like to have more choices... like not taking the key. or avoiding butch at the pool table.

Watch the tutorial for self switches and triggers. :) I'm pretty fluent in RPG Maker.

Developer

switches I get, I want to know more about the battle system lol

Beautiful art, great work on that, installation is kinda tedious tho.

Developer

I know :(

Man this game is great I like the music, The game gave me the creeps even some of the sound effects got me. Still piecing the story bit by bit other than that the game is amazing!

Especially the Artwork!

Developer

At some point I'll make the story come together a little better, but I want to still keep it open ended to keep people wondering what's going on. Thankyou!

Cool game :) My only complaint is the installation process.

Developer(+1)

Yeah... I don't know 100% what I'm doing. maybe not even 30% or else I would have used another engine. lol one day. Thanks for playing!

Okay, this got me creeped out which is fantastic. You're super good at making scary faces and inserting them in places where people won't notice them right away in some scenes. I'm slow so I didn't really get the story but man it did make me FEEL. The slow fade between each face shot was a nice pacing tool IMO too. Increase the anticipation of what you'll see.

*Spoiler alert*

The main character visits her home town every year for a long time.... Implying Maybe they are a vampire or some other type of monster- that's up to the individual playing to decide. You're supposed to believe they are an private detective at first. She puts a spell on ppl she believes to be  monsters... And absorbs what last bit of humanity they have to feed something inside of her that has existed for a long time... It's open ended so the person playing can come up with their own theories of what is going on to avoid spoon feeding the player too much.

Thank you! I really enjoyed making the game and loved creating the eerie feel and making the creepy faces. And having someone say it spooked them to any extent is a good feeling and all I wanted lol.

*Spoilers here too dun dun*

Oooh, that's an interesting story angle. I initially thought the place turned those people into monsters haha. Now that's quite a hardcore act of vigilante(?)

Developer(+1)

haha, yeah almost like an anti-hero...  not a hero to ppl that believe that the death penalty is wrong. But a hero to ppl who feel the justice system has failed them in some way.  Is she good or is she just as much of a monster?  Or could she be considered both? You decide.

Great game. I really like the art, it has a nice style to it. The story is also nice. I think the game could have been even more scary if it embraced the sound a bit more. But it was still a fun game.

Great game. Keep it upโ™ฅ

Definitely need headphones it doesn't sound great without them. I'm not very experienced with audio. Thank you :)

Beautiful; installment tho is a little bit of a pain in the...
But I liked the design.

Developer

yeah I wish I was more experienced in game making. I only know how to use RPG maker VX.  It facilitates my needs for now.
