Amazing game and awesome concept! I would love to see some cool sounds to go along with everything!

(+1)

Really unique idea, clean graphics, after certain point can't progress, cause can't jump high enough, both on WebGL and Windows build. :(

On Windows build can't see times in leaderboard.

Hoping for some updates & bug fixes after Jam.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

You're not the only one who had an issue with the jumping.

What browser were you playing the web version in?

Just trying to track down what users might have an issue with this bug :)

Firefox, but can't jump high enough on Windows build too.

Here's some feedback on your game:

1. The theme

The concept is really interesting, i'm glad to see something unique after all the "there's something in the middle and you have to shoot things around it to protect it" games XD. (Don't get me wrong, they are good, but there are just so many of them!)

2. The gameplay

I think the game really introduces its mechanics well, but (for me at least) it was way too difficult and thus a bit frustrating.

3. The Graphics

The graphics look simple, but really nice, really shows how much you can do with a nice font and color scheme (many people can draw very well but just don't do these points right).

4. The sound

I don't think there are any sound effects, are there? Maybe add some! Also, i think i know that music from somewhere, did you make it yourself or what is it called?

I hope my feedback helped you, overall this is a solid submission, i think it will be ranked pretty high, good luck in your futre jams! :)

Developer(+1)

The music is from Kevin Macleod.

His royalty free music is probably some of the most commonly used music in games and videos across the internet.

Highly suggest you check him out sometime if you're ever looking for game music :)

Loved all about this game.

Played all the levels, you have good concept to explore if you want, you can do a lot of new things to add more content like switches, mobile platforms and etc...

Good job!

I like the game! very fun and very challenging! what a creative way to use the theme

Submitted(+1)

Awesome use of the theme! I'm not quite coordinated enough to play it though.

Developer

Yeah, I always end up making jam games a little too difficult.

It's hard to judge when you spend so long testing it while making the game :)

Thanks for the feedback and good luck with the jam!

Nice simpel and chill game

Amazing game, really fun to play and perfect for speedrunning. Main menu is also well done and the leaderboard is a perfect fit for this game. Good job!

Submitted(+1)

Nice work! This is a very cool idea! Very challenging! The scoreboard didn't seem to accept my score. I couldn't click submit.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the game, I'm sorry you couldn't submit your score.

You have to press the ENTER key after typing your name and then the submit button should turn green and you can press it.

You weren't the only one to have issues with that though...

Thanks again for the feedback and good luck with the jam!

It is addictive. Of course it would be nice if there was more levels. And, I love it.

The concept is super unique and the game is very fun, and the game is perfect for speedrun! Overall, its a amazing game, nice.

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for reporting that bug!

I appreciate you pointing it out rather than leaving me scratching my head as to how you got such a low score :D

Good luck with the rest of the jam!

10/10 This is winning the jam. This game is so much fun and was incredibly polished can't believe this was made in the same time I made my crappy top down shooter.

Submitted(+1)

Really really solid! Very polished and visually pleasing A+ my friend must have been a hell of a development cycle!

Submitted(+1)

This is super polished for the amount of time it took. I kept trying to figure out where you had to sacrifice time, but the whole game looks amazing. Great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Ah, the sacrifice came in the form of sleep deprivation as it turned out :)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Idk what to say. Seems like a professional game to me. The music is perfect for this game and the idea of protecting myself from the light is really cool. I love it.

I could not figure out level 6 though, but that's on me!

Submitted(+1)

very very polished game! Sadly I wasn't able to finish the game! Lvl 5 was just to difficult!

Submitted(+1)

neat concept! Trouble understanding the mechanics though.

Spent much more time in game than I expected, NightModeGames needed to be on the leaderboard haha. Great theme and execution

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I forgot to clear out all of my random scores I put in while testing.

Just cleared those out so now you're at the top of the board :D

Thanks again for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the game!
