Love the retro aesthetic, and gameplay feel. Nicely done!

This was SO fun and seamless to play! The controls were intuitive and the overall game play just felt so natural. I was so grateful for the tutorial / practice mode so I could get a grip of the controls before playing for real. I can just see how this would work so well on an arcade machine or even fun custom controllers in the future. It was a little hard for me to catch / dodge balls, but as I played more, the easier this got for me. Well done, awesome game!

This game is great, and iv found myself returning to it a few times for a quick dodge ball session whilst procrastinating or pondering (nice to be able to bookmark it in browser). Controls feel good and its satisfying when you time your aim or catch just right.  My only feedback would be to add in some extended play mechanic which allows the game to gradually get a little harder and harder over time.

I really enjoyed this. The practice mode was a nice idea as a tutorial and helping the player get to grips with the controls. When I finally caught my 1st ball it felt like such an achievement. The art is lovely. love the hairstyles. This would be great to play with a twin stick joypad. Over powering the shot was common, but got easier with practice. The audio was decent, but an oppertunity was missed in having cheezy commentating. And lastly...if you can dodge a car...you can dodge a ball!!

This game was very enjoyable, I found using the arrow keys to aim and dodge quite comfortable once you got used to it. Once you get used to the mechanics, the game get a bit simple. So it would be nice to have some more complexity when it comes to matches. The game can also be quite easy if you get lucky with your teams AI. Still, the game is fun :)

Definitely my favorite from this jam. I love arcade/old TV game style games. The CRT/Tube TV screen effect just gives me all the feels. My only feedback would be to have different difficulty settings. The AI is pretty brutal at times and my team just sucks, haha.

Well polished game 10/10

Hi! Just a reminder of this rule: " To be eligible to win any of the prizes, your team has to play and give feedback to five other entries by Monday, 5th October 2020".

So if you haven't done it yet, you still have the rest of this weekend and Monday to give your feedback!

Nice! This feels like a complete game.

On a technical level it's impressive that you got AI in as wall as tight mechanics. Perhaps my own team's AI is a bit too good since the hit out most of the other team before I had a chance, although I was quite slow.

A two player version is the logical progression for this.

Artistically I really like it. You nailed the old school look with the CTR monitor warp and pixel art without being too heavy handed. The sound effects also compliment this well.

Very nice! An excellent game jam entry.

Nice pixel art, charming animations and a neat idea. Always wanted a dodgeball game. Pretty cool game overall.

This was really charming. I really like how much life you managed to breathe into the characters and the overall aesthetic.

Getting a hit felt pretty satisfying, that KO animation is great.

I struggled to aim consistently, maybe something to do with the perspective? Initially a bit frustrated that the aim line keeps growing but ultimately found that I liked the challenge of getting the timing and direction right.

Very nicely done, well polished and a really nice package. I appreciate the practice mode, I was able to get a good feeling for the timing of dodges and catching. It would be interesting to have a scaling difficulty, more aggressive enemies that perhaps coordinate their throws

This was lots of fun. I really enjoyed it and loved the art and overall visual design of the pixel art and old-school feel, plus the audio. I prefer arrow keys for movement but I managed to adapt and then found the controls very easy to use.

The AI was good and once I'd mastered the controls I didn't find the game difficult (a bit too easy, actually). However, I found it easier just to play straight games of knocking out your opponents rather than bothering to catch balls and resurrect your players so I thought the link to the jam theme was a bit tenuous. I actually preferred it when I only had one player left on my team as it reduced the visual distractions and made it easier for me to concentrate on aiming and hitting opponent players.

Overall I really enjoyed the game, though - a good, complete package and really enjoyable.

I'd love to see a post-jam version that has a bit more variety in the players, gameplay rules, and visual locations of the courts because it's fun and I'd like to have a reason to play for longer (and have games that last longer) and feel challenged.

The way this game emulates an old CRT TV screen is my favourite thing! The gameplay also feels perfect for this "era" of games. Really nailed it. 👍

Really enjoyed the rounded-old-tv kind of feel. Felt like I was 9 years old again!

Kept feeling like I was throwing balls over my opponents heads though, not sure if that's true or I was just missing.

Think it would've been cool if you played more to the theme, like represented yourself as a substitute player and you only get called in when your team is near down-and-out and everyone thought it was over so they just brought you on for fun, and then you smash it!

Overall really cool!

Really dig how this emulates dodge ball! Really nice pixel art that evokes feelings of the old sport titles on the snes :) Great effort!

Guessing your comeback mechanic if the ability to catch the ball when thrown at you.

My only gripe is that the angle shots were a bit hard to get right. I would of prefer mouse or joystick control for full 360 shots.

But all round great game! Good job. :)
