Cool game, I loved  the whole concept and art style. I would work more on the visual feedback especially those 2nd level monsters I couldn't really decipher when they're changing their positions. Also there was some inconsistencies, I thought that I'm hitting the monsters while the thing that happened was that I merely stepped on it. It would be nice to add some more movement to the game, my gameplay turned out to be more like a slow paced strategy game. Other than that I really liked the concept, keep working on it :)

Giving this 5 stars on tremor just because of whoever did that face on Salt Man

I really want to play this game but my computer can't handle it, there's at least a full second delay between what I press and when the game does something :(

Man the art style and all that is just insane.
The game play felt under developed compared to how well done the intro was! Wish there were more mechanics/tricks, because it felt like there wasn't too much to do besides move to the next thing, then backup if the thing you need is on the other set of tiles.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, Eric! It was our first project in UE5 (for all but three contribs first time in Unreal ever) so we kept the scope super super small. (You’ve seen the casualties when people get too ambitious in a jam sietting…)

Do expect though that for the next jam we’ll have more interesting mechanics. Follow all the contributors to see the progression!

wasnt able to make it too far though

Artwork, style and gameplay reminded me of PEPSI MANNNNN! (ノ´∀`)ノ lol

I'm not good enough to finish the level but it looks great and it's interesting enough to try to figure out, I might be able to finish it some day (ノω^、)

Why thank you, we are so honored to be compared with the unforgettable PEPSI MANNNN!

Who do you think would win in a fight, Pepsi Man or Saltman?

Good luck defeating all the slugs and the evil stoorworm! The world, or ... ( well we didn't exactly establish stakes, huh? ) depends on you!

Submitted

Saltman might win.... as I googled what happens when you mix them and it says the Pepsi would go flat so I feel like that means Saltman won lol

If we're going by muscles though, it'd be a pretty even fight and I can't predict the winner there lol

It seems this is too much for my little laptop to handle. :/ It looks good though

Had a few technical issues with my build, no sound on the opening, console displaying during game play and pretty bad fps. Overall though it's really impressive what you pulled together for the jam. I wish I knew there was a boss fight on my first playthrough lol I would have never made it past the first level.

Indeed all true! (Symptoms of using a new engine… )

Developer

Thanks for playing, and thanks for making the plants! It was surprising how well they worked in a rendering engine designed for PBR
