I really respect this game for being a good jam game idea. Like from a dev point of view it's really simple and you can make it work + polished quickly with the minimum skills. Picking an idea you can do well is the single most important skill for a game dev - especially if you're working in a jam.

I also really liked the UI and sound. The UI was just good, the sfx were good, and the music was decent - rough but charming instead of rough in an annoying way.

Still though, when thinking about the actual gameplay, my praise always comes back to the idea. Slowly increasing horde of identical enemies? Keep it interesting by having your carrots slowly whittled away? Add a leaderboard to force people to care about doing well? Chef's kiss, great jam game design.

Was very surprised to see it's your first jam game, you've honestly got a talent.

My only real complaint / advice is to make sure your UI scales to screen size. For a second I was confused by the end-screen because it was just 3 big carrots, then when I went in fullscreen I realised it was the leaderboard.

Really cool entry! I just feel like that the spawning of carrots isn’t so consistent. sometimes they shoot faster than other times at pure random. Also make sure to override the highest score of someone, I accidentally submitted the same score 3 times. Then played a 2nd time and submitted a higher score, so I kinda flooded the leaderboard with it (SORYYYY)

Edit: I also loved those settings ui! Really cool!

The really unique menus was a great first impression. I really enjoyed the gameplay loop on this one, its very space-invaders-esque. Also love that there is a leaderboard, not alot of games include this very important detail.

I love the menus! This will definitely inspire my own style of menus from now on for sure! As a musician myself, I appreciate your self esteem to put an own piece of music into your game, even if you “aren’t referring to yourself as a musician” (which you are, by the way). Not many entries here have fully self-made music to them, so cheers to that! Love the style overall, fell in love with the visuals of this game. Keep up the awesome work and thank you for sharing your game with the Rabbit Jammers!

Lets goooo! Congrats on the entry!

Really enjoyed the visuals, the use of light was awesome.

With that said, I don't think the theme was a core part of the experience. Specifically on the "Fading" side of things.

That main menu however. I'm pretty sure will stay in my brain for a good while and influence some main menus I get to do in the future.

Well done. <3

Great game, the menu was amazing and the game loop was fun. Apparently I need to work on my skills though, I played five times and I'm still in last place. I might come back later and try again. Great job especially for your first game jam (its my first too)

I like the art style. And the main menu is very creative. Good theme and gimmick implementation.
