Nice game, had fun for sure!  I loved the way you bundled the GUI with the game. A little bit clearer instructions would be better. Congrats

Developer

Thanks for the nice words !
Will work on clarity for sure :)

Amazing game. Completed everything except the four bonus levels. I might return in the future, but not right now. Its a bit quirky sometimes (where blocks end up after merging is a bit unclear to me still, though usually it doesn't matter).

The biggest "bad" thing for me was the sokoban parts. Where I had to sokoban instead of 2024 if you know what I mean. I enjoyed the math part of the game way more than trying to maneuver around. But this is most likely just a me thing. Some people might like the sokoban part more.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedbacks, really happy you liked it enough to finish it !

I see what you mean about the sokoban part, the game really challenges the player in both a numerical way and a spatial way. And it's not because you like one that you'll like the other. Hope the balance is good enough for both type of players.

Thanks again for playing through the main quest !

Really interesting game, it feels like it combines 3-4 different puzzle types seamlessly into one. Also the game looks, feels and sounds really great. I found some of the rules slightly confusing at first. Overall really great.

Developer

Thanks, really glad you liked it !

I will work on clarity for sure if I continue working on the game.

Nice game. It has good puzzles, art style and text messages.

Very good, love it

The only negative I have is that some rules seem to be a bit random. Like that you cannot merge 1s and that only 1s get eaten. Having fewer exceptions in mind usually makes a more pleasant system. But i think in the case of this game it doesn't really matter

Developer(+1)

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Yeah I see your point, if I continue working on it, I'll see if I can make those rules more organic.

This game challenges both the player's spacial and numerical thinking skills. I did find it jarring when blocks would merge on contact no matter what and it might have been more intuitive if it happened when a block attempts to push another of the same value, though the levels are all clearly designed around the way it works right now and I wouldn't suggest sacrificing all those designs now.

Thanks for playing !
You bring up a good point, the levels are all designed around that mechanic, but I could make the interaction clearer to the player somehow. Maybe the ground is clearer around the tiles to tell you that if you bring something there it will merge.

Anyway thanks again, I might even consider the "merge on push" as a future mechanic if I continue working on the game :)

Brain broken, rebooting

Developer

Hopefully your brain will reboot correctly !

This game is amazing I love the music and the puzzles had me feeling so smart when I beat them. There are enough levels and story for this to already feel like a finished game.

Edit: I also love how the music controls are on the radio!

Is the poster in the background a game you are working on?

Developer(+1)

Will answer both comments at once !
For the poster, that's a jam game mage by my cousin for the gameboy jam 2 years ago I believe.

It you want to try it : https://vidvadgames.itch.io/super-pocketship

And thanks a lot for the comments, I do kinda have a high standard when I participate in those jams hehe

I'm also really glad the  game made you feel that way :)
