I love the idea and take on the team, but have to say that launch card art&animation put me off from the beginning. Later during the game itself I took it more as a parody of itself and found it good humour. Got to both endings and loved it! 🦞
Thanks for the honest review! Can I ask what put you off about the card art? I couldn't preview the card animation because I don't have a playdate, so I probably missed something. Is the animation too fast?

Really enjoyed the story and game here. Amazing job with that intro sequence, and then the game itself was a good laugh and a fun challenge! I enjoyed as I felt I mastered it and as the difficulty slowly ramped up.
Just seen in another comment that you can make it to 12 minutes and the game finishes 👀 I know what I'm gonna be doing in my free time this week!

Love this! Incedible acheivement in a jam - the art style and audio are all great, and then its the concept and the gameplay that seals it for me. The gameplay gives the sense that I can master the umbrella, but not super easily, which is exactly what I want from a casual game like this. Genius use of the crank to integrate into the gameplay too. I either don't have the skill or haven't had the time to get the 'good' ending yet - but I'm going to keep trying. Brilliant job!
Fun game with some great artwork! Like what other people said, the lerping on the umbrella made it way more stressful, but that's what made it great. The game over cutscene made me burst out laughing too! Does she ever wake up from her nap, or am I destined to lose all the time?
She does yes, there's an ending cutscene if you can make it to 12:00 where she elopes with the pool boy lol. Thanks for the review!

I love the attention to detail in the visuals on this one! Such a consistent vibe, especially with the little opening.
The umbrella lagging behind your crank input adds depth to the gameplay as well, had me thinking more about input than just “follow the girl”
I really enjoyed this game, it has great art style and humor paired with a simple but challenging enoughgameplay loop for a satisfying experience. Great submission!
this one's really good, i love the use of the crank in this one; lerping is always a great way to add some panic to an otherwise standard crank control. it would be waaay too easy with 1:1 crank rotation i feel. i definitely gotta up my skills at this one though, i haven't been able to see the good ending yet (stop going in the middle arg!!!), but based on my findings i think the bad ending is better 😆🦞
