- I need to buy a few more caldrons to let yall cook! My experience (though relatively short) was fun in every aspect of playing. The controls are easy to follow; I ended up using one hand while trying to figure things out, keeping me engaged the whole time. The art is fantastically put together from the characters, environment and items/objects. The music/sounds are crafted and put together very nicely as well, I was quite immersed while playing as a result. And even having a story where the themes tied in to this was the icing on the cake for me. Being able to use an actual shadow to traverse between rooms was a nice touch; it made me feel more confident in accomplishing and checking things out before doing so with the 'physical' character, and the use of alchemy--where you could combine items together to make things you needed, along with the story having its secrets you want to uncover (also getting to read journal entries), ugh so good! I enjoyed this more than I though, even though it was already catching my eye. Very nicely done!
- Love the unfolding story, even in a short format. It was like playing an actual short story. Good writing! Gameplay felt tight, a few little movement hitches that felt odd (ledge sensitivity was very high to me), but overall super refined.

If you find yourself stuck for any reason press 'P' to reset your character's position. (I moved house during the jam and didn't have much time to actually polish the controls)

Thank you!! Yes! We are going to integrate it into our full game Amber's Tale, on Steam soon™️ 😁
Congrats on getting 2nd Place. It's such a polished piece of work.
one of my favs! so good
This game is beautiful! Love what you did! The atmosphere pulls you in, the music is very fitting and good choice, and the playthrough has kept me in and got my full attention. Really liked the shadow mode and Q as well. I just liked everything tbh. With more updates to this game for content, I would actually buy this on steam no joke!
Wonderful game, very impressed by what you made! Aesthetically very well made, character controls feel precise and polished, puzzles are solid, there's good lore behind the game, strong narrative, light and hidden objects were used very effectively. This was really impressive!
I love the controls, the atmosphere, the animations the way you implemented the theme in the mechanics
Its a great game!
Loved playing with the shadow mechanic and blue light element.
Very clean & cohesive gfx, music, sfx.
Incredibly polished for a gamejam entry.
I'm just amazed by this!! This feels professional, with so many cool details. As impressed as I am with the sound design, art, animations, writing, the level design stands out the most. The progression feels natural, and appropriately challenging/rewarding/forgiving for the player while clear cut. Just a few details that stood out to me:
Everything feels implicitly explained. Only a couple personal issues I really noticed, some of the areas after discovering the blue light feel visually similar, so it was a bit hard to 'visually guage' progress. Also think flipping the recipe menu, it wasn't clear what the next objective was (despite the gameplay itself being so instructive on where to go next)
Sorry this is long lol, couldn't help but rave about this. I do music, and this genuinely inspires me to want to explore other sides of game/level design, thank you for this!
Wow! Thanks for taking the time to give such detailed feedback. As the composers and sfx designers we are happy to know you liked our work! Of course the magic of the level design was done by our friend Lazy from LazyTeaStudio. Thanks again! :D
Very polished and you've brought an amazing atmosphere, the music and sounds are great, the story is good. Overall good game :)
Very well made and fun!
Thank you Sven!
This is the best submission I've tried so far. It is a complete experience. It has cool mechanics, it has a story, it is well written, and the artwork is nice. Very very impressive work.
Thanks for playing and your kind words!
This is excellent. Could easily be a very fun metroidvania with a few more abilities and rooms. Well done.
Thanks! We'd love to keep exploring Castle Elaria.
Wow! Very pretty game. Love the use of the shadow and the blue light! Very fun to play.
Thanks for playing!
What a game! It's so well polished. I absolutely love the mechanical climb for the knight. Love how you made something smart about the crafted items for the gameloop. The atmosphere is very well done. Could defo see it on Steam :)
Congrats guys !
Thanks for taking the time to play! We are happy to know that you've enjoyed the game!
This game looks really beautiful. The puzzle is well simple. I couldn't finish this game for some reason. But the game looks well polished.
Thanks for playing! Did you face any bug or didn't you know what to do next?
No, there is no bug encountered. The dialog were just a little confusing. It telling what requires while I already have what it requires. I am able to finish the game now.
The sound design was banger, the experience was very atmospheric. I think the difficulty level is also perfect for a game jam. I beat the game and enjoyed my time! Props all around :)
Thank you so much! The Millan Brothers really did an AMAZING job with the sound design for sure!
I really didn't want it too be too difficult as you want it to be accessible for everyone but showcase the mechanics could be expanded upon!
We really appreciate you taking time to play it <3
This is so polished and pretty! 9/10
Thank you so much! <3
Okay wow. So first of all the art is fantastic sets the tone and the mood well and never fumbles throughout.
The music and SFX are great. ESPECIALLY the weighty SFX of the knight when you move around. I love it so much.
The progression and exploration were fun and the shadow/blue light mechanics were pretty fun and simple enough tha I didn't spend too much time trying to figure out any sections.
Overall a short but really fun and well polished game with a sweet little story ontop.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We put a lot of effort into the SFX, and it means a lot to know you enjoyed them.
As the music composers, SFXs, and narrative designers, We are thrilled that the art and story resonated with you.
Thank you so much for playing and such a detailed review! <3
Were really happy with it overall!
Wow, this is amazing!
Even considering that you used assets (yep, I’m the “make everything during game jam” person) it looks and feels really freaking fun to play.
The only little gripe I have is the control scheme, specifically [E] and [F] that are easy to mix up.
Thanks for playing! And thanks for your kind words.
For a new version we'll add custom control scheme for sure.
Thank you! I usually would be one to make all the assets but I moved house last week so i hat to settle for some assets to save time haha xD
i would update that going forward tbh as well as adding controller support! I usually play on controller so using a keyboard isnt something i know much about gaming with haha
thank you for the feedback! we really appropriate you taking time to give it a go! <3
