The sticking to walls but you keep your momentum came from a bug when trying to add wall crawling but it felt cool to move around with it so i used it for the jam

Cute game. I really liked the concept behind this. The level layouts were fun! I would have loved to see the spiders legs move a little bit as he was crawling around. Overall, a good submission! good work!

You need a "overall timer" if you ask me. :)

We were not sure about the theme integration while playing the game with my friend but we also admit it's an interesting approach to the movement mechanics.

Best luck!

yes when the jams over I’ll definitely as an overall time, I only thought about it after the jam. I discovered the movement after I tried to make a wall crawling spider but instead of being able to control it, there was a bug where your momentum carried over into the wall.😄

The game is so simple but I'm so bad at it 😭😂. I like that you've made a few important features that some games of this type don't usually include such as checkpoints and fast respawn.

Could definitely use sounds though!

Overall nice little game. Congrats on submitting!

Developer

Thanks, by the time I realised it didn’t have sound there wasn’t enough time unfortunately but when the jams over I’ll definitely add sound

"bruh why did you come here? I have to kill you now"
NOOO I was trying to find shortcut lmao

Anyway, my speedrun time in total maybe around 45 seconds. I liked the mechanics! remind me of bugs when I developed 2d char controller.

Developer

LOL i didnt know if anyone would find that, glad you enjoyed it!

Loved the speedrunning aspect. Haven't seen a game use momentum keeping as a mechanic before so it was very refreshing. Short and cute. You should make more levels!

Developer

I might, thanks :)

Reminds me of the Flash games everyone was obsessed with in the school computer labs. Very smooth movement and good use of bugs (hah).

Developer

thanks so much :)
