Description
Genre: Hybrid orchestral

Tracklist:
01. Aridean Compass - Main theme 3:43 (written & arranged by: Aaron Englund)

Main theme has the full story outlined. Starting with violin runs representing the emerging threat of an ancient enemy. Shortly after cello and violas lay the core personality of the Main Character whom is a person with a troubled past, but with a noble heart. In first two segments the arrangement switches between the ancient enemy and the MC until breaking down to point of no return. The protagonist rises to defeat the enemy against all odds as the mystery of the compass unravels. Is the threat gone forever?

Message from the artist:
Definitely enjoyed this jam. I hope I get to write more tracks next time!

Theme

a journey to remember.

How does it fit the theme?
I took inspiration from the jam's theme "A journey to remember" by having an adventurous tone in the main theme.

This is so amazing. All sounds are so qualitative. I have no words. This track have dark atmosphere like Dark souls or Bloodborne. Great work!

Lots of people went for a cozy journey to remember, appreciate that you went big and dramatic!

With such a strong choice of tonal colors, it is difficult for such an OST to be indifferent. The dissonances are incredibly huge and so wonderfully bitter! It's daring, liberated and intense. The sounds are superb, the orchestral effects astonishing, with all these masterful orchestral glissandis. A strongly heart touching work, where the enunciation of the epic is constantly accentuated by a deliciously puzzling discomfort. The unstructured melody is heartbreaking. Extremely efficient work, for exceptional music that dazzles with ideas so strange and yet so well executed! A pure wonder. The adventure awaits the player, and it is obvious that the latter will not come out unscathed and will remember it forever. A big shock! I am more than delighted to discover that I still have works of this ilk to discover in the productions for this Jam. Wonderful and terrifying at the same time. What an incredible style !

Wow!! The first person I gave 5* in the impression score! Many people reached 4*, but you are the first with 5 :D It's really professional, epic and cool! Good job :)

Now, this is a perfect example of amazing orchestration! The creative use of motifs and harmonies combined with the production of the piece you've done. It's absolutely superb. I think the track really comes into its own at 2:24 in that dissonant drop. Completely unique sound that I've fallen in love with! How do I share your music?? I can't seem to find a link on your profile!

Amazing orchestral sound! :o

Woooah! That was amazing.

I loved the sliding strings, the gigantic atmosphere and the daunting overall tone.

Some musical decisions bothered me in the beginning, but they didn't threw me off too much. I also felt that the crashes were getting a little repetitive throughout the track.

Nonetheless, this gave me goosebumps! Great job.
